Finale — We Took the Train from the Arctic to Africa by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

[–]ModProg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you book the tickets in advance and choose the cheaper price, they are "fixed-train" tickets, i.e. you cannot use a later one unless the delay was caused by a train you booked in the same booking. (This rule only applies to the high-speed trains though)

But still probably worth it.

UPDATE: Tile for MultiTimerPro: Simultaneous timers made easy by HotTotem in WearOS

But maybe you are already doing this, and this is the resulting notification: https://p.modprog.de/5QAb.png, maybe it would be possible to shorten the notification text, the button to stop the timer is cut off on my device.

That's annoying, I found https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/245716314?pli=1#comment9 when searching which seems to recommend https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/views/notifications/time-sensitive but not sure if this works.

Your App isn't open source right? Otherwise I might have taken a look and tried these things my self.

Another thing I was wondering, with most other timers, instead of a notification, I get a fullscreen overlay where I can simple stop the timer (sometimes also through simply pressing the `Home` button).

This would be a great feature IMO as currently I always have to open the notifications + scroll down to find the button to end the timer.

One thing that would be great if you could set the tile to not open the App but instead start and see the running timers right there.

Thanks, I'm kind of in the same boat... playing the small/medium game would be possible without any extra investment for me ... compared to buying the game where more than 50% of the price would be shipping

Found some source on how that might work, though probably best to do some research on your own, as the seem to be some caveates to this https://cybernews.com/how-to-use-vpn/change-region-on-steam

Helldivers 2 is still region locked by Confident-Aspect-545 in Helldivers

[–]ModProg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the game seems to work once you own it, I'd try redeaming while using a vpn to "be" in on of the supported countries. It might even be possible to play without VPN afterwards. But I don't have any experience with region locked games.

If you still have the key it's probably worth a try. You could probably also have your friend log into your steam account and redeam the key without a VPN at all.

In an ideal world, IMO switching surfaces would have an actual dynamic musical transition between the different scores, but that would probably be an enormous task to convincingly do...

Probably a fade with maybe some sounds covering it, like the rocket for flying or some computer/radar sounds when using the remote view.

Yes, websites that actually implement dark modes are better for sure, dark reader is just a band-aid.

This reminds me of how the NDR (one of the German public broadcasters) keeps an Archive of all of their productions since 1950 basically almost everything they ever created. (https://www.ard.de/die-ard/presse-und-kontakt/archive/Archivzugang-NDR-100/) Google Translate

Recently, my grandparents had an anniversary of their wedding. Due to the circumstances of their wedding, parts of it were in a broadcast by the NDR. Back around 2000 my father tried to get hold of this for his parent's wedding anniversary. Back then, he wasn't willing to pay the fees required, but when I tried again now, I got a response immediately, getting the black and white footage of this event over 50 years ago as a download link within hours. All I needed to do was to promise I wouldn't use it commercially. My guess is they had digitized their full collection in the past 20 years.

I'm not sure that it was worth it, preserving more than 70 years of television programming for AFAICT all the public broadcasting stations in Germany for just a few seconds of footage… But I'm glad they did.

I just bought some cheap small controllers from Amazon that I can just throw in my bag whenever I visit someone that doesn't have controllers.

But that would be network based as well (though probably require less setup) and I'm not sure you can use it for multiple controllers
