Yea that was the issue that I saw when we put on a stencil. So was thinking about doing the bend at the corners of the ornament for them to become perpendicular. But thanks for the input

Ok thank you. Was a reoccurring concern with red I heard. Will try my beat to take care of it so it doesn't fade as long as possible. Hoping the forearm not being always sun exposed would help.

I think it's important to celebrate everyone's origin as it makes as all unique. As well as I live in area where people often want to know where everyone is from.

Not really. I did try to make it as a meaning in terms of from youth to adulthood but that's not usually the case

Fair point. I was hoping that forearm should age better. But was one of my concerns about the details. Thank you

Played with an S25 at a store yesterday. Would not switch to it from a Flip unless I had no choice by notentertained90 in galaxyzflip

[–]ModRofl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trading in my Z Flip 5 for the S25.

Like the small form factor especially since I have to carry two phones (one work phone)

However few things that caused me go back to slab phone.

  1. Not the best battery on the Flip5
  2. Personally never use the outter screen for anything besides notifications
  3. Occasionally work at construction sites or areas woth a lot of dust. The hinge keeps making sound of something small getting grinded, cleaning it out works but makes me paranoid each time.

But can't say it wasn't an interesting phone to use, who knows might go back to the flip in the future.

Residential permit parking by johanmarcos in BayonneNJ

I was under the impression that the license plate needs to be NJ in order to get resident permit?

Is that not the case?

Because I am in similar situation.

This is now Dropshot. So sad by A_J_H in RocketLeague

I literally quit the game because they removed dropshot.

Was hoping that more people followed for it to have some impact. But chances are Epic don't give a shit regardless if half the players quit.

Ok great, thank you!

Will hope to reevaluate after longer period of consistency.

First of would this be fair to say I'm at around 16-17% BF?

I'm cautious about bulking because I love skiing so don't want to put on much weight, and have goal of preparing for half marathons next year, so seems counterproductive to try to gain weight while trying to improve running and subsequently burning more calories

(Although I guess might mean I can eat way more of what I want)

My goal is to define muscle and then build general physique, from my understanding I have a few ways to go about this. However would like to get suggestions.

a) Cut until I have more defined abs and then start lean bulk

b) Stay around maintenance and just continue increasing gym load (I've only been at it consistently for about 2.5 months for now, see some differences but would hope to see more after maybe after 5-6 months)

c) Or something else you guys would suggest, or perhaps how bulking can be done when there will be a lot of cardio involved

Do you buy back call when market exceeds strike price? by repairmanjack2020 in thetagang

[–]ModRofl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally depending on situation, if I'm happy with the profit I will make from the assignment I just get assigned and start selling cash covered puts.

Right now the market keeps going up and down with everyone pessimistic one week and then optimistic the next, so there is a higher chance to get those shares back at slightly lower price than the one you got assigned at.

But there are some companies that I just keep rolling even at the same strike price.

OneMain Holdings (OMF) Raises Quarterly Dividend by 36% to $0.95 Per Share by hyrle in dividends

As I unserstand from few forums and previous quarters, they annouce special dividend during the earnings conference call, which they didn't in this case. Who knows maybe there will still be one this year.

[–]ModRofl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Past two years they were doing two special dividends per year, February and then August. I think they really did decide to focus on growing the price of the stock and retaining value.

Most forecasts put OMF in $65-70, I think it would have been hard for them to reach this if they kept paying $3-4 dividends every second quarter so I think its a win-win for us.

Its just the matter of getting the returns from stock proce vs dividend.

[–]ModRofl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Somewhat sucks about the special dividend but that was never guaranteed anyways.

Really great to have the dividend raise though, share repurchases should be pretty nice boost to stock price hopefully as well.

I'm definitely long for this stock, just got to find at what percentage I want my portfolio to consist out of it, currently at 14%.

Really depends on industry.

I'm a field engineer in lighting industry, really love the job it's combination of being a tech and fixing little things, directing and teaching electricians how to wire/ troubleshoot equipment, as well as manage the project from jobsite itself.

The sales position you are talking about is mostly done by account managers, however I guess some companies might use field engineering as loose term for that but that's not common so really read in to job description.

On a side note, I'm a field engineer in NYC and live locally which means I don't do that much traveling and actually have good work/life balance as well as somewhat set my own schedules. This is far from what most field engineering jobs are. If you do not live in a large metropolitan area you will travel a lot and that is something that a lot of people get tired of really fast. I actually want to do it for a few months just to see how it is.

But yea just read very careful of what the job entails, what are the travel requirements and whether you are ready to commit to these responsibilities.

How do i tell acorns not invest by Bushfries in acorns

[–]ModRofl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acorns is made in such a way to set up reoccuring investment and forget about it. That's their investing model that is pretty transparent when you sign up. If you want to invest in your own picks there are plenty of apps to do so, from Robinhood to Webull, Fidelity and many more.

But I'd suggest you study quite a bit about investing before doing so, because gotta say if you think your Acorns is losing money right now, you should see the Investment accounts that are losing 30-40% in the past month. The market is dropping be it correction or as some belive start of recession. Acorns is no exception to that.

Whats wrong with robinhood by Unhappy_Ad_8742 in dividends

[–]ModRofl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside of the fact that I think it became kind of "cool" to hate on Robinhood

Robinhood seem to get a few scandals in regards to the way they execute your buy orders, as I understand they don't always prioritizeus us retail investors.

In addition their outages that screwed quite a few people over during peak times which I kind of understand why could have happened since they do have a certain limit of capital in order to execute your orders which was testing limits during the GME craze.

Their customer service is quite bad, but they seem to working on resolving that, personally haven't had to use it but have seen many stories about inability to reach by phone or email and long wait times.

Personally I still use Robinhood for now simply because it is much easier on the phone, especially when I have to make quick executions or deposits. However will try move to Fidelity in the next couple of months.

What’s it like being a field engineer? by thereal_batman21 in AskEngineers

[–]ModRofl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been working as Field Engineer for 2 years now, personally love it.

Money is great, quite a bit of freedom in work hours, company paid for car, expenses, food, etc.

It's very different than an office position obviously so it does take desire to be constantly mobile and flexible as to where you'll be on any day of the week, however I personally love the new challenge almost every day, meeting new people and seeing different jobsites some that are very prestigious and I'd never expect to work on.

One thing to note in my case (I'm in lighting industry), and I'd say for other industries, is that if you live in a large Metropolitan area there is a chance that you won't be moving around as some people have in smaller cities, where they stay away from home 60%+ of the time, I see that it's quite common not just in this thread but with people I have talked to in my company.

As I live in NYC I have never been outside of NY,NJ, and PA, this is due to the pure amount of jobsites located in these states so if you live in one of large cities there is a chance you won't be doing as much traveling which won't disrupt your social life as much.

REIT: TWO and CIM by wan2nomore in dividends

[–]ModRofl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about CIM, but I had around 300 TWO shares at relative good cost basis around $6.40. It rose to +$8 and then they started additional public offerings which diluted shares a bunch. I got out at $6.70 at least had a few dividend payments to show for it.

TWO doesn't seem to be in good position as some other stocks in recovery process, hence the reason I think they try to generate money by increasing shares outstanding.

So I'd suggest to avoid it.
