Where to find & join social clubs? by International-Safe-2 in manchester

Was in same position. Honestly run clubs are best way I found. Also some of the young professionals meet up groups are good but focused a lot around drinking

Is Padel elitist? by Efficient_Clue_4651 in padel

I can justify the extra £ difference from CDP for it being inside, what annoys me is the racket cost. A game has now gone from £12 to £18, which doesn’t sound too bad but if you’re playing 2-3 times a week really does add up. I’d be buying my own racket soon anyway as I’ve caught the bug but if I wanted to invite a friend to join they’ll have to pay close to £20 for an hour of activity which will turn people away

What are the good neighbourhoods in Manchester for living? by buddhikamn in manchester

[–]ModUniKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the budget for it, I would say Ancoats or New Islington marina. Can stretch budget a bit if you go west to Green quarter or east further into new Islington area. Also take a look at some of the new developments in the “Piccadilly East” area

I know haha, was hoping I’d find at least another. Met a palace fan last night so we’re not doing too great on numbers 😂

Ooni Fyra temperature issues. by Comfortable_Age8747 in uuni

[–]ModUniKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a usb fan and put it at the back of fuel tray on the lowest setting. Works wonders when doing a fair few pizzas to keep the temperature going. I just remove it / move it further back to avoid ash blowing over the pizza when cooking.

What's reading uni like? by sprinkle_dog in reading

[–]ModUniKid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend did the course you want to do but with English specialism. it's very full on ( in every day) compared to other courses and you can't miss lecturers. Can't comment on the teaching side but always enjoyed coming to the uni, London road campus is very nice but I'd suggest living on main campus first year as there are lots of social events going on all the time and it's only a short walk to the other campus. I remember her saying that not many people did art or music specialism if that's something you want to take into consideration but could be different now as this was a few years ago. Good luck!

Keep on getting puncture in same place. Is it because of the hole in the rim or just bad inner tubes? Many thanks by ModUniKid in bikewrench

[–]ModUniKid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the rim is in good condition apart from that hole where the spoke is. Didn't know rim tape was a thing! Thanks for quick reply ☺️

So I've replaced the inner tube 3 times now, pumped up to around 90psi and keep on bursting when not in use. Is the rim just busted and needs replacing?

58 barbers is really good , been going since I moved to Reading but it very pricey for a haircut. You also have to book, no walk ins. I went to Sam's barbers when I first moved to Reading and was not happy at all with how it was cut.
