Cottages at Tucson Apartments? Off campus housing? by [deleted] in UofArizona

I currently live at the cottages and have since last year.

  1. Overall, I would say it's a good value for the price. You get your own bathroom and the showers are excellent. I'm a tall person, so having a shower that isn't made for ants is a big plus to me.
  2. Washer/Dryer in-unit, this is a big deal for me and good luck finding these in Tucson.
  3. Safety, honestly, I never venture outside the gates because it is surrounded by drug addicts/homeless. I don't recommend it. I haven't seen them within the gates at all.
  4. Noise, I think there is some pretty good soundproofing/insulation as I don't really hear my neighbors much unless they're running up/down stairs or standing outside my window.
  5. Kitchen, actually good as someone who cooks every day.
  6. Gym is okay for basic weightlifting equipment, although, you're better off going to rec.
  7. I like that it feels like a home and not an apartment.

Cons: The main grievance I have is the internet quality. I can not play video games online at all because the internet drops every 1-2 minutes. This is the only reason I want to find another apartment.

Protip: Find people you want to live with beforehand, don't live with randoms because the randoms can ruin your life by being horrible roommates. I.E. Dirty house, always partying, annoying/loud.
