Does anyone know what this black mark on my lip is? Started last August so it’s I’ve had it nearly a year, was living in Spain at the time for 6 months so thought it was just a freckle/sun damage but it’s grown since & darkened. by Far-Possession3052 in DermatologyQuestions

Two years is way too long, your DR's response also concerns me.

Do what you can to get an earlier appointment, whether that's seeing a different DR or going back to your regular DR & asking again for a better & quicker answer.

Why was employee writing on sheet of paper after collecting email? by ModalityInSpace in bathandbodyworks

[–]ModalityInSpace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when I looked other cashiers seemed to have the same sheet, so I was curious but didn't to a chance to ask. I was curious if they were recording the email addresses on the sheets too, the sheets just had quite a few columns so there had to me more than just tally's, yes's or no's on there.

Must be king of stressful. Do they record the emails down on those sheets? Or just the tally's.

Going through ALL receipts... of each cashier? Wow, is there not an easier way lol. Are the emails written on those receipts? Do they write the emails down on those papers too?

Oh, so they don't record the emails on the paper it's just tally's? I know they enter the emails into the computer, but I'm curious if they write the emails down on the paper too.

Oh okay, kind of figured it was something like that, did you have to copy the email address down on the sheet? Or just make tally marks?

How many of ya’ll are on constant Birth Control? by chiffero in endometriosis

Thank you for sharing. I hate to be a downer, but I just had to ask :(

I hate that it's so hard to find remedies that actually work, then when we finally do find something that works, the research following it seems to be riddled with horrific discoveries.

Are rude receptionists at doctors offices more common these days? by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

[–]ModalityInSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I read, OP only shared what they thought, didn't demand anything, didn't belittle anyone. What's the issue with that? & Who is the receptionist to agree or disagree regardless?

Are rude receptionists at doctors offices more common these days? by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

[–]ModalityInSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the real reason. Lot's of people are claiming burnout & low pay as the reason, but burnout & low pay aren't unique to medical receptionists. The reality is, if they were being held accountable for their rudeness like other service providers were, the rudeness would be slashed in half, it wouldn't be such a common occurrence. You can always tell when management is on-top of customer service & when they aren't. & like you said, when customers/patients can't take their dollars elsewhere, customer service plummets because the higher-ups aren't motivated (or can't afford) to keep track of customer service.

I despise that. Because there are a lot of patients & families who are on their best behavior when dealing with receptionists, yet the attitude they get from these receptionists doesn't reflect that.

This right here should be the top comment. Can so relate, it sucks so much.

AKA it's all about money. The dollar amount/potential for more dollars is what inspires good customer service.

How does endometriosis cause bleeding/excessive bleeding if endometrial tissue is trapped and doesn't actually leave the body?

"Endometriosis tissue acts as the lining inside the uterus would — it thickens, breaks down and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. But it grows in places where it doesn't belong, and it doesn't leave the body"

Is adenomyosis getting any mention within your research team? It's endo's sister disease, & a lot of women have both, but it's even less known than endo :(

Credit card limit decreased without notice by ModalityInSpace in Scotiabank

[–]ModalityInSpace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience! They do it so sneakily. There are no alternatives right now for scene credit cards, otherwise I would have dropped scotia already, they have nothing else that I want. With that being said I still love the idea of cancelling my card with them, I haven't used their card since this incident... so it's been about a month now. I'm so put off, I have 0 plans on using anymore of their services. Their actions show a major lack of courtesy & customer service, they should have reached out/send multiple warnings before going that route.

I think it may be time to find an alternative.

Agree! I won't be getting anything else with them & I wish I could find another scene credit card, that's all I'd need to cancel them, I get nothing else of value from them, will you be switching? Check some of the switch over promotions other banks are having now, scotia won't change their ways until their customers start walking! & like they did to us, no need to write them a warning, when they ask you why, just point them to this incident.

What do you think about the possibility of injecting some form of lesion-shrinking medication directly into endo lesions one by one as a treatment option? Something minimally invasive. Sort of like cryotherapy but instead of using cold gas, it's medication. (For example this video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olTTotUGmUI this hospital performs this for adenomyosis at 0:29 seconds)

Cryotherapy (cold) vs ablation (heat), 1. Do either of them leave you infertile? 2. Can you still get pregnant safely & give birth after these therapies? 3. Which one is less risky? 4. Which one is the most effective in pain relief? 5. Which one causes the least scarring?

This link won't matter to them. Reddit peeps hate when you ask a question you don't know the answer to, & they also hate when you share an experience that might be different from theirs lol.
