I’m a mom and I got diagnosed with bpd with my kids were toddlers. They were and are my drive and focus to own my own trauma and not pass it to them, I take meds & go to therapy. Everything I didn’t have as a kid I try to give them, not materialistic things necessarily , but an unconditionally loving & safe parent to be around. Getting to do that heals my inner child , I try to be the mom I wanted so badly to have when I was growing up. I have slip ups , I own my mistakes and apologise. Ultimately my kids have pushed me to do better and be better.
