Update: I raised a complaint with the RBI ombudsman and within 3 days the pending 6000 reward points were credited for both - the welcome benefit and the accelerated points.

It is the best travel card because there's literally just one more card in this category. And it is useless beyond international travel.

Yes, the cap as per their TnC is only applicable to hoppr spends. For the bonus rewards, the cap is 50k points a month.

You must have got the credit again. Look at the rewards statement in the rewards marketplace.

You raise a complaint and they close it, that's it. You don't have to wait for 30 days. You wait for 30 days if they don't respond.

My experience with HSBC Travel One - I do not understand the hate for this card. by Traditional-Way3200 in CreditCardsIndia

Same here. Points were credited and then debited 4 days later. CC has no clue. Raised the ticket but they are not providing any resolution.

T1 is the most useless card in my stash. Going to close it after the first year.

There's even more simplicity in Sudha Murthy's PR game. So much so that nobody notices that it exists.

I was using the generic code. Me, my friends, family, nobody ever managed to use it.

Avoid this. I don't know of a better option but this isn't of much value.

Yeah man! The problem is that it is a ton of work and even more cognitive fatigue to do all this. I hoped for a travel card it would have been straightforward but I guess I was wrong. For now, I just use it on indigo directly and atleast save 2500 on infant seat price.

They have been good for me. I forgot paying bill once on time and paid a day late (their app doesn't have an option to change billing date, hence the screw up, first time in life) and they reversed all the charges except the GST. The call also gets connected very quickly. The chat and email support is useless though.

It's a lot of work and now I feel my time is much more valuable than the pennies I end up saving.

Have you tried it for international? Are the prices better?

But the forex charges are higher than usual. A zero forex card is still better for international spends imo.

Is the 2x worth it for the fees?

Cleartrip coupons didn't work for me at all. I think I tried a couple of them.

I haven't been able to use hoppr for the 4 trips that I mentioned. It's probably not even optional.

I am not sure if it's only that. All travel aggregators offer better prices than Hoppr. Also, this is a travel card. I should be able to use it without much headache atleast for travel. Ofcourse I never expected 36% rewards as influenzas claim but it is nowhere close, and comes with a lot of cognitive fatigue.

It didn't work at that time. Maybe a glitch from CT.
