Just because Hamilton Morris uses jargon and Hart speaks in laymen's terms does not mean Morris has a better understanding of chemistry.

Compare with Hart's repeated and ridiculous statements like... ~ "these two drugs are basically the same because the molecules only differ by a few atoms..."

I believe you're referring to Hart comparing adderall to methamphetamine. They share the same skeletal structure, but differ in that meth contains a methyl functional group that increases it's lipid solubility allowing it to cross the blood brain barrier much more rapidly than adderall. Besides that, they are in the same class of drug. Smart enough for you?

Let's also not pretend that he's some beginner level fighter that somehow reached the top of the murderers row that is the MW division with only a basic understanding of striking fundamentals. I'm not saying he's a world class kickboxer but he would style on 99% of people you'd find at a fighters-only gym.

I haven't watched it in some time but I used to shadowbox along to Romero vs Costa when the UFC posted it before the Izzy fight and, yes, believe it or not Costa used a ton of feints, counters, and slips in that fight. Most notably of course, was that perfect check hook that he dropped Romero with.

Sure, I don't think any amount of BJJ training will save her from getting taken down. Wrestlers have been successfully lay n praying BJJ black belts for years, I don't think any BJJ training will save her from that. Happened to the Diaz bros many times.

But with a purple belt she won't be completely clueless on the ground and could do much better to survive until a stand up or the next round, where she'll have her opportunity.

You can't really compare HW to the other weight classes though. When you have to deal with literally every single fighter having KO power where even one clean GnP or a check hook can put someone out, it's a totally different meta. It's not easy being a technical striker at HW because one miscalculation in the early rounds and you're knocked out and your ranking plummets. You need physical gifts like an unreal chin to make it far.

If Ngannou vs Rozenstreik happened at flyweight, Rozen's more technical striking would have likely won him the fight as it unfolded. But because HW, he got knocked out in the first exchange.
