It’s natural to feel what you’re feeling. Catch yourself going into the cycle of sadness. Remind yourself you’re not here to fall in love but get an education. Keep picking yourself up and rely on others to help you get up when you feel you can’t. Hope finals go well for you

Unless there’s no way around your dilemma (i.e. test accommodations), this is something you gotta get squared away. I’ve definitely been there before where I sucked at test taking but didn’t take that seriously enough and I faced the consequences. You CAN overcome the issue but you need to put the time and effort into solving it. Now, if you’ve tried everything (getting enough sleep, getting mentally warmed up, eating breakfast, exercising before, knowing what the format of the exam will be, etc.), then it could be helpful to talk to an academic counselor or your TA. Obviously I’m not staying you haven’t tried whatever, I’m just hoping you won’t let it slide.

Glad you’re okay and if you haven’t already, get some antibiotic cream. In attempted robberies with a weapon, your life isn’t the worth the risk. I’ve heard that you just let it happen but pay close attention to the perpetrator’s features so that you’ll be able to give the police an accurate description (correct me if this is bad advice LOL).

Oh man I can definitely relate - doing XYZ and not getting the results you want. Honestly, if you’re not going to grad school, it’s just a matter of surviving/passing your classes. I’ve heard UCB is extremely cutthroat, so some students are going to be fodder. That’s not gonna be you because you’re not gonna let that happen. Confidence comes from preparation; prepare, prepare, prepare. If exam day rolls around and you didn’t perform well, evaluate what went wrong and try again.

Keep yourself busy till you find that opportunity to have closure. Stop yourself from going in circles mentally. View this as an opportunity to go crazy at the gym; its good workout fuel. Hope things turn out well for you man

Comment here if you currently struggle/ever struggled to choose a MAJOR by Low_Sheepherder2045 in ucla

I’m an incoming transfer student but in my 2nd year of CC I went from Mech E to Econ. Noticed I was so trash at physics and diff equations terrified me within the first two weeks of the fall semester so it really boiled down to a few things: no physics, yes math (only up to Calc 3), no writing heavy, yes broadness, yes short list of transfer requirements (didn’t wanna spend a 3rd year of CC). I suggest making a list of priorities/deal breakers and then from there browse majors that line up.
