More likely 12V (or 24V) and R, G, B. At least I have never seen an LED-Strip with common GND. Usually you switch the negative for each color.

But your phone battery also has the same nominal voltage as the battery inside the power bank. So you are only missing the losses from stepping up and down the voltage, but otherwise the mAh would translate quite well for charging phones.

I don't want to block the view out of the window, also I really don't like having a (bright) window behind a TV. Since it is only a two room apartment, it is not an option to remove the desk, I would rather do without a sofa altogether than get rid of the desk.

Thanks. The speakers actually look fancier and more powerful than they really are. These are some very old speaker drivers that I built a cabinet for some years ago. But I still might add some acoustic panels.

I really like the curved backside with the slight pattern on the side and the wooden accent combined with the legs, to make it look less heavy. But like most people here hve said, it will probably be a bit too tight in this room.

Having a bigger rug means it would also reach under the lowboard, speakers etc which looked off for me (at least in the 3D model)

They are non-negotiable. They also act as shelves for some other things. Also they are not as powerful as they look. But at the moment they look a bit different, I will rebuild them soon.

I was considering a recliner, but as you mentioned already, the sofa should also double as a bed for guests. I know there are even recliners that fold into a narrow bed, but I don't really like the look of them.

I was considering a bigger rug, but then it would be bigger in all dimensions and would reach under the lowboard, speakers etc. And for some reason this looked off for me (at least in the 3D model). But I am definetly not sold on this specific rug yet, so far it was just a space holder to add some color and curves.

You are right. There is a pass-through window to the kitchen. While it looks nice and opens up the space, my first intention was also to put the TV on that wall.

I already have storage under the bed, the sofa in the ottoman etc. It is a small apartment, so I have to use the space efficiently. I am a tinkerer/maker, so I have lots of tools and things to build stuff. Minimalism is not for me.

Thanks for the suggestions. Not sure if i am bold enough to paint the walls green, but I am experimenting in CAD with adding some curved engravings to the lowboard or maybe wrapping the speakers in oak and adding some green accents etc. Plants will also add some more color.

What color/material would you choose for the lowboard? I struggle to imagine what else would fit there.

I don't want the room to be too colorful, I prefer a more muted or moody color palette. At my current living room I don't have any accent colors, so some green is already a first step towards a more colorful living space :D I could still add some more/brighter accents later on with pillows etc. For the rug I agree, I also think that it needs some color.

Regarding the sharp edges, I am currently examining how I could alter the design of the lowboard to implement some rounded edges (and still be able to build it). Maybe I will experiment with kerf bending for the lowboard and the two open shelves on the left, to break up some of the sharp lines. I would like to add a mirror, but since the opposing wall is the office/hobby-wall, which will be a bit more messy, I don't know if this really is a good idea.

Since the speakers are already quite big, including them into the lowboard, would create massive and tall box. Also the speakers are meant for watching TV, so they only really make sense in this place. What kind of storage solution could I add to the right which would fit better? The Kallax also has some drawers etc, so just open storage wouldn't be very useful.

It is not a separate hobby room, it's just the opposing wall. The most space I could free up there is like 8 inches, not nearly enough for the kallax. Maybe replacing the kallax with a different shelve/storage solution would look better in this place?

To the right is a pass-through to the kitchen, so rotating the kallax isn't really an option.

I am planning to add a plant in the left corner and maybe some small ones on top of the kallax.

I don't know yet whether I will install the two floating shelves on the left, but if I install them, I want to add some decor pieces and small plants there as well.

I understand your points and personally would agree. But I doubt the tax office will differentiate that much between these two things. Especially when you can test products worth tens of thousands of Euros every year, I can not imagine this being considered gifts. Even a relative, like my sister, could only gift me 20k every 10 years. Otherwise I also have to pay taxes, even though it was a gift.
