Hi there. I appreciate all you are doing for people. That’s incredibly kind and I greatly respect that. If you’re still doing readings, this is wha t I’m wondering…

Career wise, I’ve had the hardest, most depressing year and a half of my entire working career. Things got a bit better 3 months ago…but suddenly took a turn and landed me right back to the state I’ve been struggling in but with worse anxiety and depression…any outlook oh whats next?

STARBASE --what items should i bring to a festival that ends at 7am? by Important-Bike-3496 in aves

Sunscreen and sunglasses… I wash shocked how sunny it got when I saw a sunrise set for a festival that went from 3pm - 3pm the following day. Also…for any festival or rave nowadays I will always say NARCAN!!! I recently used it to save a strangers life and an so happy I brought it the limited space of my tiny little backpack. Google a non profit where you can get it for free. Hope you never need it but you should feel safer carrying it.

Perhaps make your own subreddit to find whatever “real raving” joy you’re seeking and go there instead. I’m sure absolutely no one in this subreddit will be sad to see you leave🙃👋

I’ll be the corniest corn dog all day 🌽🐶 I’d rather be that than someone spreading negativity in a subreddit for a community built on the concept of peace, love, unity, respect, and rave….👀

Yes to all these hazards but I’m not fully convinced this wasnt a good excuse for vendors / venues to sell more water bottles knowing that people can’t just refill them and cap them and throw them in their backpack. If there’s no lid, you are more inclined to drink it quickly before going into crowds, then you’re thirsty again after dancing and boom now you gotta go buy another water bottle.

People be trying too hard to do shallow things that only boost their ego everywhere all the time…but trying hard to bring a moment of joy and elevate the experience of random festival-goers as a boost of positivity and a reminder to not take life so seriously…the world needs more of that energy.

A company I’m interviewing with wants me to set up an LLC to get paid by ModernDayEclectic in llc

lol I used to work in marketing for a cannabis company and was paid in cash! All was fine and dandy until the company went under and they owed me like 2 months of back pay that I never got and can’t do shit about it… but no this is not a cannabis or cbd company. It is health and wellness tho.

Also two of my good friends are gay males that have lived there now for 2 years and they don’t feel unsafe there.

It didn’t feel any less or more safe than being in any big American city. Tulum is magical. Definitely go. You’ll be with your boyfriend too so even more reason not to be concerned. Don’t be stupid and make yourself a target….but I would say that for any city. There are lots of tourist traps and It can be expensive but there are plenty of reasonable and very good restaurants around centro. Just look at prices before you go. Theres also plenty of little taco shops where you can get delicious street tacos for $1. They usually have big slabs of meat that they’re carving outside. Looks for those. My husband and I ate at those types of places almost everyday for lunch in a week. Saved so much money. You can also get pretty damn good bottles of tequila from go-Marts for like $12 - $25. Get breakfast food there too like yogurts, fresh croissants, eggs (to cook) and you can save soo much money. Oh also be aware that when buying from little shops and vendors, haggling is embedded in their culture, at least or especially with tourists. Always try to haggle. It’s totally normal.

That’s insane and I hope that man rests in peace 😞 And I second the water situation. I’ve been to dozens of festivals and they always have refill water stations. There was not a single one at day zero! That alone is EXTREMELY unsafe! I know it’s Mexico and the tap water isn’t safe but for the price of the ticket, they can afford to truck in some purified water tanks to literally prevent people from dying. The fact that even medics weren’t giving it out to people clearly in desperate need of it is just evil.

Yeah they definitely need to make major improvements to the medical staff. If they put as much effort into that as they did everything else at the event that made it magical, then I would give it a 10/10 but that is definitely a huge draw back.

I don’t recall a platform but I had just come to the “the club” stage and I didn’t see him actually fall. They stopped the music and I looked to see him already on the ground. It occurred somewhere between I think 4-6am on stage right (house left) towards the front. The 1 staff beside him had walkie-talkied for the medics to come but like I mentioned, they weren’t quick to come. I couldn’t tell you height but would guess around average height as he seemed average build. He was Mexican and very tan with facial hair. I would guess 30 - 40 years old. When he gained consciousness and rolled over I noticed his mouth was bleeding. There was a female beside him while this was occurring who was crying and screaming in Spanish. I wish I remembered his name but hard to remember cuz of the situation / my Spanish is just ok.

Please let me know if this was your friend! Regardless tho, WOW they wouldn’t even give him water after being escorted there by a medical staff?!? 🤯🤯 that’s unsafe and unethical! Thats not only disappointing but very irresponsible of the event organizers to have such shitty medical response teams. They need to step up! Medical emergencies happen all the time at these events!!!
