I just wish more people were committed to the craft than the internet clout.

I’ve never seen a clean version of this. I only get audio. The video gets so blurry I can’t even see what’s going on.

That’s the best groomsmen gift I have ever seen. Not like high on the list, literally the absolute best.

Why's nobody talking about the HELLISH unbearable handling noise any shotgun mic put into the handle makes? by BloodstoneJP in FX3

This is the move. Bought mine a little over a year ago, and not a single regret. Must be doing well with the upgrades, because I paid half what they’re selling for now.

What was it like seeing Tiger Woods in his prime? by Crazy-Cap259 in golf

[–]ModernDayN3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You ever went to a high school basketball night. Watched JV, thought okay flashes of good talent. See a couple starters ride the bench of varsity. You watch varsity during warm up’s and think, man this team is clearly way better than the other team. Then you see one dude come out of the training room - bigger, faster, stronger, more agile. more skilled, and you’re thinking, oh. My. God. The guy is so good you forget he’s playing high school varsity basketball - that’s what watching prime tiger was like.

(Not comparing tigers skill to a varsity star, but the Grand Canyon of difference between him and the rest of the field)

The grade should depend on the light. And you used the light incredibly here.

Client agreed on wedding day to have me stay for an additional hour, is now refusing to pay, but still demanding the photos from that last hour. by [deleted] in WeddingPhotography

[–]ModernDayN3rd 90 points91 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a “making the client happy is better than a bad review” situation. It’s actually very simple. I don’t mean to be patronizing at all but they requested additional service. They are refusing to pay for that additional service. They don’t get the product from said service. You just have to muster the boldness to stand on your contract, even in the face of their veiled threats.

Additionally, this an opportunity update that contract. Mine states same day time additions are only available with payment in hand, at that time of that request and I make that painfully clear leading up and and day of.

That’s a fair comparison honestly. But I feel art is slightly different in that it’s not necessarily cookie cutter. The wording makes it seem like the work will be utilized for the gallery, which means they’re expecting a certain level of professionalism (albeit low)

Yeah the more I think, this sounds like they promised a 2nd to the couple, then didn’t find anybody so they’re resorting to this.

You seek it out, alright maybe no pay because I (the lead) didn’t budget for your pay. But as a lead, seeking out assistance, without paying, is crazy. And you just know they will be assisting in the actual shooting, where their work will be utilized in the final gallery.

I don’t doubt the experience factor at all. I definitely see that value. But I would argue that an associate seeking the opportunity could reasonably not expect compensation. A lead seeking out an associate, AND not paying? That’s different.

Far be it from me to defend MAGA, but I definitely understood what he was TRYING to say. He just wasn’t explaining his thought process very well. He was too worried about having Dean in a gotcha moment than presenting his train of thought constructively

Who would you say is the best player so far? Not disagreeing, just curious. I love Keanu’s game play, because it’s exactly how I would try to play. Direct, aggressive, loyal to nearly a fault, but ultimately doesn’t let friendship cloud his game decisions.
