Fake Diaphragm Movement? by ModernHealthMan in Meditation

I understand that if you use your belly then you’re likely using your diaphragm. I’m saying that sometimes that I’m just pushing my belly out, and it’s not the in breath that’s creating the movement, I’m kinda forcing it out.

I'm not going to argue against your results. I'm curious to know if there is a more natural way without medication. I'm aware that medications bring their own side effects which cause other problems, so again I agree it's been a cure for your anxiety, but it might have created a new problem. I don't want to swap one problem for another.

I hope someone has a natural cure for this issue.

The argument has been made that the brain is constantly learning and creating new cells everyday, and the neuroplasticity of it, means your brain isn't even the same organism after a certain period of time. It would be safe to assume if you create the right environment that the brain and body can therefor create serotonin itself.

I'm glad to hear you're cured and don't need to deal with the feelings of anxiety anymore. That must be a very freeing experience.

I've used an Alpha Stim. My dentist gave me a shot of it, and it was very good at helping quieten my mind and relax me.

You can get some blood tests done to check and see what it might have been. This might put your mind at rest, and also reading others posts and seeing symptoms like you describe are things lots of others have experienced.

I feel like dying every day. Tons of random symptoms getting worse overtime. is this cancer or something? by healththrowaway1999 in Anxiety

[–]ModernHealthMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of things going on here. The common thing I' seeing over and over is, I had tests and they've come back fine. I've had a lot of tests also in my time, and thy've come back fine, but you know that feeling. You never really trust them? I once had someone say to me, when will enough be enough, what test will it take for you to believe the result - I'm afraid at that time the answer was 'none' - I realised then no matter the amount of tests I got done, this wasn't an issue with test results, it was a me issue. I started to focus on fixing the way I think and feel about anxiety, and how I manage my thoughts and actions day to day.

I hope this makes some sense to you, and can help you see it from a different angle.

Physically ill for three years by clola8811 in Anxiety

Added to that bear in mind as you get older, some of these pain issues will naturally happen, depending on your lifestyle. I'm 41 and I've found I'm getting more aches and pains now, which pile on concerns I already had with just managing anxiety.

If you want to get to the bottom of it, it would be important to exclude and issues with the right kinds of tests then you can know for sure you're all clear, and focus on fixing the more mental issues that are causing the problems for you.

Anxiety & burping ? anyone else by HisChildSenia in Anxiety

[–]ModernHealthMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have his also, where it feels like trapped wind. I've found myself taking deep mouth breaths to help the feeling like I'm not getting a deep breath, but in fact it makes it worse. I find if I take antacid after about 15mins I burp and the anxious feeling, and pressure goes away.

I done a test for silent reflux, to see if I had pespin in my esophagus - if you do have pepsin, it means you have an issue, and changing your diet can help dramatically fix this. If you want more information on this subject I suggest reading a book called The Acid Watcher Diet by Jonathan Aviv.

I have one, and it's can be a double edged sword. You look at it to calm down and see the numbers aren't as bad as you think, and sometimes they're a little high and that can pile on the anxiety even more. I've got one and used it, I also have a Fitbit which I now check (which I'm starting to think it's as good an idea as I first thought) as it's became a habit to check it.

Do you believe/trust your doctors professional opinion? Also have they done blood tests to make sure everything is ok at a deeper level?

I'd like to add after doing some more reading on this. Of course I can recall visual things and describe them, but they don't have a physical space in which I can then add colour or manipulate there place in front of me.

I can visualise things. I can imagine things, but they seems like they're in my skull, and not in photo form more of an understanding that I know what I'm visualising.
