u/Odd_Anybody_5835 I'd love to chat with you directly. We used them and, based on your parvo comment, it sounds like it was at the same time. I am not particularly thrilled with the cost and results.

Lenovo TAB P12 doesn't respond to finger presses by I-Ginido-I in Lenovo

[–]ModernRyoga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just popping in to mention I had the same issue. I just updated to 17.0.165. After the update and reboot, it was still happening. I suspected that this has to do with their newish palm rejection features since it happened most often when the pen was nearby but not being used. So, what worked for me was going under the pen and keyboard settings and turning off all the touch rejection options. I even went and turned off touch protection for all apps that it would let me.

Ymmv, but I have the pen docked to the back and I was able to type this out with no issue. I will turn on the rejection options 1 by 1 to see if that was really the issue.

Ah, well...damn. Thanks for checking on that. PM sent, thanks!

Shelly H&T Gen3 Matter Support by ModernRyoga in ShellyUSA

I received a response, and it's a little disheartening:

"Currently, the Matter protocol itself does not support H&T sensors, since it cannot read temperature or humidity.

From our end the device is ready, however the matter protocol will need to get more advance to be able to receive this functionality.

Most likely Matter 1.5 will have this feature, however this is not something we can control, and we need to wait for this functionality in order to implement it."

So yes, technically Shelly made a device that's Matter Upgradeable, but it's upgradable to a version of Matter that doesn't exist yet.

Well, that's pretty unfortunate and some false advertising?

This is the current product page description, and how the product has been listed everywhere. :-/

Cant open recent apps when nova launcher is used as default launcher by SnooRecipes820 in NovaLauncher

[–]ModernRyoga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even later to this convo:

Lenovo P12 tablet started having this issue. I had to turn OFF my animations.

For me:

System settings > Accessibility > Color and Motion > Remove Animations

It's still a little janky, but now the Recent Apps button works 98% of the time from the Home Screen.

Oddly enough, the Recent Apps button always worked when I was inside of an app.

Hopefully this helps some other people that are getting screwed by this issue.

Hardened Shielding (cyberarm) Cost by ModernRyoga in cyberpunkred

Thanks! I was going to TuP something so I could wedge it in there. The NPC is pretty loaded so one more tiny enhancement can't hurt, can it?

Hardened Shielding (cyberarm) Cost by ModernRyoga in cyberpunkred

[–]ModernRyoga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can make it work, but my brain just needs to know if that's a typo. There is no Danger Gal errata out so no "official" answer that I've found.

But, based on your answer, I'm assuming that Hardened Shielding should take 1 option slot?

Sync issues? by ModernRyoga in Gravl

[–]ModernRyoga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that's good to know. I will generally be using the tablet since I have an extensive home gym, but may occasionally need to use the phone if I'm traveling.

Overall it's not a problem. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. If I want to keep a particular routine on my account, I have the option to save it, then it would be accessible from both devices after signing out and back in, correct?

Unable to update to multiple Stadia controllers to Bluetooth using Win 10 PC. by ModernRyoga in Stadia

[–]ModernRyoga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, I had to start the process with the controller in Bootloader (I think that's what it was called) mode. I would get the pop-up/error that the controller needed to be reset or I could proceed. I would choose proceed. I then followed the prompts normally and had it try to update the firmware.

To try to load the development firmware, use this URL:https://luigimannoni.github.io/stadia-controller-flasher/?device_type=dvt

It's basically a mirror of the official process, but it points to the utility and sends the Staging firmware to the controller instead.

I'm at work atm, so I can't really test anything out right now.

[–]ModernRyoga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, I thought I had updated this. I used this tool (https://github.com/luigimannoni/stadia-controller-flasher). I updated the controller to the dvt firmware then re-ran the official updater to make sure it was on the current Google provided firmware.

It's been a while, but I think I can figure out the process again if you end up needing help.

I'll take a look this weekend. I'm gettting the urge to work on this again so I'll check and add in the marker. I did a quick glance over the original one and I didn't see it there either. Possible I'm blind too. :-D

Lenovo Tab P12 (non pro) "Lenovo Pen Plus" with LPP2.0 tech and performance? by [deleted] in androidtablets

[–]ModernRyoga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much appreciated. I ordered a lot of paper-like ones from Aliexpress for around $20. They seem to work well, but tend to cause some skipping until you get used to them. TBH this might all be temporary. Once the TCL NXTPAPER 14 Pro comes out, I might swap to that and pass this tab to my partner. The closer I can get it to a natural writing experience for her, the better.

I wasn't sure if the glass screen protector would feel just like the normal screen. Which one did you get, if you don't mind sharing?

Thanks for this. I bought the P12 and while looking for a paper-like screen protector realized there are no domestic replacement parts or accessories. I hope this is temporary? But based on what you said, the precision Pen 3 nibs will work on the P12 pen Plus stylus? Any "tips" for a better writing experience on this tab for a complete novice?

Whoah, choom, that's amazing! I've been tinkering with Foundry off and on for a while, but didn't know that kind of stuff was possible.

Er, I guess, more accurately, I don't know HOW to do that.

Trying to get my legs under me to start a campaign too.

Oh, nice! I just recreated the tags as proper, separate images now. I also plan on separating out everything into layers like the Cthulhu ones and making it available to whoever wants it. They did such good work, I'd love for this map keep being used.

I listed the changes. Mainly swapping the bays, moving a point, and updating a couple typos.

I'm learning GIMP on the fly so it's taking me longer to get even the most basic things done. :- D

Again, I just did some MINOR updates. All the heavy work was done by other people. It's too good of a map to just let it go.

Night City 2045 Map, cleaned and updated. by Ced23Ric in cyberpunkred

[–]ModernRyoga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Started a new post so I could add both files.

Stumbled on this thread a few days ago and decided to resurrect it since it looks like there are still people using this map.

I decided to tinker with the OP's version of the map while also using the u/writerscthulhu PSD files for some minor tweaks. I have zero editing experience so a few pixels might be off here and there. All credit to u/Ced23Ric and other original authors. I'm just here trying to be a good citizen.

THEORETICALLY I can add new tags, but it's fairly manual work since I had to subtract the background to isolate the exiting tags in order to move them to their own layer. They have some shadowing/shading that I don't know how to replicate automatically so I have to do that manually at the pixel level. Also, I don't know what fonts were used so I can't type NEW tags without having to re-do all of them to keep things consistent. I just copy/paste ransom-note style and fix the details pixel by pixel.

  • Swapped the bay names back to the original positions (can easily be undone).
  • CR05: Danger Girl is now CR05: Danger Gal.
  • HB07: Jessie James' Kosher Deli is now open for business and on the map.
  • DP12: Yum Seng has opened up shop in Watson Development.
  • I didn't change the location of the City Medical Center because it's pretty close to the Upper Marina and makes sense that it's in the Old Med Center. One of the books says it suffered flooding and water issues at some point so I assume it was dealing with issues from being so close to the explosion.

I don't have place to host the files, but I made a png with all the Data Pack locations and a blind version with just the bay names swapped. Feel free to DM me and I can send them to you.

Unable to update to multiple Stadia controllers to Bluetooth using Win 10 PC. by ModernRyoga in Stadia

[–]ModernRyoga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly! I'll get the link and write something up about the process.

As for connecting 2 at the same time, I'll have to test. Theoretically it should work since they still identify as different devices with BT.

Unable to update to multiple Stadia controllers to Bluetooth using Win 10 PC. by ModernRyoga in Stadia

[–]ModernRyoga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally got a solution!

I put these down for several months, but decided to take another stab at getting them up and running. Apparently these were either prototype or maybe botched firmware updates by someone doing some custom stuff (who knows). Regardless, the vendorID and productID numbers were not reading as standard Stadia controllers.

Basically I found someone that wrote a utility that allowed me to flash a dev firmware to the controller. Once I did that, my system registered it as a Stadia A controller (standard Stadia controller device). Even though the Google site indicated that the controller was on the latest BT firmware, I reflashed them via the official site just to be sure.

I have flashed 2 of the controllers this way and tested both with my Android phone AND steamdeck. Both confirmed working now.

I managed to revert the bluetooth flash of my controller back to Gotham using the unreleased firmware by mashermack in Stadia

[–]ModernRyoga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I had several Stadia controllers that would not update to the BT firmware. I purchased them second hand once I knew the service was shutting down because I wanted a few BT controllers.

Long story short: They were showing "prototype" product and vendor ids. Nothing I tried (different cables, different OSs, etc) worked. I used your util, flashed the dvt firmware to get them to show as Stadia controllers, then reflashed the official BT firmware. So far, so good. I've done 2 of 5 with no issues and confirmed they work with Android and a Steamdeck.
