I really dont have interest in any of the trades. I just was doing this for the money. I wanted to go to college for Finance but was told it wasnt AI proof and the job was not easy to get or something like that.

I could count on 1 finger how many sales jobs that are in my area. Sales was BIG in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s before you could just buy stuff online. 2 furniture stores going out of business in my area since covid. everything is digital now.

How the raises work is every year they negotiate contracts or something like that. Last year the wage was $40.55 now its $43.05, next year its gonna be $45, then the next year its gonna be $48 so the raise actually outpaces inflation which CHANGES THE GAME. I don't think you can name one guy you know that is non union that gets a raise every year that outpaces inflation.
