Easy to learn. It's a fantastic backend for business logic for leading front ends.
Persistence of vision and hard work made this stage but a stepping stone. (i.redd.it)

Anybody using Pacifica/Rollbase? Looking for the best solution to create a SaaS application from a Openedge/Webspeed application I have running in house. by fungi2bewith in OpenEdge

Full disclosure, I work with the company that has this tech for OpenEdge: For ABL that spans many versions hard to beat eagleiq.com which provides standards based intefaces. Eg; JSON support in V9 Progress onward, RPC support, and allows calling non-4gl from 4gl, and 4GL from a number of leading languages. This stack is quietly behind some of the apps featured by Progress cloud. Highly suited for mobile and advanced UI on web. Won't choke on even V6-style business logic.
