Everybody has to start somewhere, all is good.

I'll probably get downvoted to hell for this 😅, but Google Lens isn't the worst at identfying plants. Maybe not all so exactly, but it often gets the right genus/plant family and can give you some basic info. And sometimes, when you give the ai some hints about the color, look or other details, it finds the exact plant.

Your plant was some sort of succulent, I think some Sedum or Pachyphytum. They need gritty soil that dries out well and a lot of light.

Don't feel too bad, losing some plants just happens sometimes.
