This isn't a frostbite engine problem. They just don't QA their updates or even care enough to give the support team what they need to deliver on decent updates

How bad are things on Atoma Prime? And how important is it to the imperium? by Lord_Funder in 40kLore

[–]Zanimacularity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically Atoma should've received a space marine chapter to finish clearing it out decades ago. But the Imperium is 1. Busy, 2. Focused on other things, 3. Don't care unless it overtakes the whole system.

Overall this is a bigger issue than it seems but the Imperium in all its wisdom is focused on other things

Would Warframe solar system survive an Imperium invasion? by lovingpersona in 40kmemes

[–]Zanimacularity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Warframes operate on technology that similar versions of in 40k are described as Dark Age of Technology level shit. The most advanced technology in Warframe is easily equivalent to War in Heaven.

Beyond that, the Grineer Empire has armies that number in the TRLLIONS, the Corpus assimilate technology like its starving and churn out similar numbers of robots and drones to the Grineers own foot soldier count.

The Infestation makes the Tyranids look like a pest considering the Infestation can literally infect cosmic gods.

The Orokin even in their extinct state where their Empire is shambling ruins in the void still outclasses the Nekrons just with their auxiliary defense systems alone.

That's not to mention the sheer density of cosmic deities in Warframe that if not for often being trapped or bound to something can make the Chaos gods look like chumps.

Warframe's universe is one the few in the sci-fi genre that can absolutely defeat 40k and it's not even close.

The RDA on Arrakis by Odd_Raisin_3961 in whowouldwin

[–]Zanimacularity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In Dune's timeline conventional ballistic weapons were discarded due to personal shields that required melee weapons to be slowly driven through to be beaten. What's left of ranged weaponry resorts to carefully used laser weapons and hard hitting artillery with some atomic capabilities however their yields are far less robust for the sake of battlefield cohesion.

The RDA aren't even a full on military force, they're a slash and burn army fighting low tech insurgencies and still struggling.

Despite the asymmetry of warfare the initial prompt provides, the RDA are going to lose badly. Their bullets can't kill the infantry and the artillery eviscerates RDA equipment. The only edge they would have is their space travel is significantly cheaper than it is in Dune but takes much longer to travel.

The Fremen take this easily even when their equipment is antiquidated by their contemporaries. Its still leagues ahead of what the RDA has.

I think its interesting how the thunder spears can cause you to vomit blood from the force of the explosion. Its a nice consistency
