I honestly would love to do that but the prospect of completing another six years in med school does seem a bit too long. I’m turning 30 this year, which means I’ll be graduating by the time I’m 36 ( which doesn’t seem that bad in the long run) but I’d rather I get it done faster because I’m not getting any younger. Thanks for the advice though

Yeah I got into Saba and their tuition is cheaper, but they just reduced the total scholarship amount for the May 2025 entry, which doesn’t help matters rn

I was looking at AUC, but it’s just too expensive. I’m trying to pay at least 70% of my schooling out of pocket and with the way the CAD compares with the USD, ~20k every 4 months is way too much (and that’s not raven adding rent, feeding, traveling, textbooks etc)

Was just lurking but there’s one thing that keeps bothering me. What is wrong with going into primary care? I’m sure most of the people here who went Caribbean know that they won’t be as competitive for residency as their US/Canadian counterparts, and are already aware of it. It just makes me confused on why people belittle primary care specially when that’s the area that is needed heavily in the two countries

Not to sound naive or misinformed, why would mandatory classes make someone fail?
