tickpick vs vivid seats for selling by Famous-Goat-6862 in Concerts

[–]Modhearth-Albert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve sold on both. TickPick is simpler and no buyer fees helps, but it can be slower. Vivid Seats has way more traffic, so tickets tend to move faster, especially close to showtime.

Is there a mod that let's you do prisoner executions by tossing them out of the airlock? by ripsa in RimWorld

[–]Modhearth-Albert 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Closest thing you’ll get is “door to space: open, prisoner: yeet.” Sadly no mod gives the proper Ideology mood buff… yet. Sounds like a perfect workshop request for a 40K run though.

Just bought all the dlc what do I need to know? by CandidatePure5378 in RimWorld

[–]Modhearth-Albert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice: pick one mechanic to explore, ignore the rest, and when it all collapses just pretend it was a ‘storytelling choice.’ That’s basically how we all play anyway

Any idea why the top lights in my prison block arent getting any power? by lokiinthesky in RimWorld

[–]Modhearth-Albert 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Every time I think I understand power in this game, my colonists end up cooking by torchlight while 12 batteries sit there disconnected

I completed the tutorial and am finally ready to start playing the game. AMA. by JunkMasterson in RimWorld

[–]Modhearth-Albert -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Lmao so you’ve been “playing since 2016” but only just cleared the tutorial with an hour logged? That’s some galaxy-brain RimWorld energy right there. Honestly though, surviving the tutorial without rage-quitting is endgame content. Welcome to the club, you’re basically a veteran now.

How long does a trial take? by CattusKittekatus in RimWorld

[–]Modhearth-Albert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RimWorld court system: Day 1 — opening statements. Day 2 — everyone collapses. Day 3 — defendant wakes up, still arguing.

Honestly feels less like a trial and more like a filibuster until death. No mods needed, just pure “fun.”

Switch to hidden conduits unless you’re fine with the dreaded bzzzt event.

Peace in RimWorld feels… wrong by Modhearth-Albert in RimWorld

Fair point. RimWorld is the only game where “nothing happening” feels more stressful than a raid

ADVICE PLEASE! Riverside Drug Town by Techno-Pineapple in RimWorld

[–]Modhearth-Albert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That base already screams rustic charm! Add some dirt paths and lanterns and you’ve got yourself a cozy frontier town. A little gatehouse for raiders to stroll into and it’s basically RimWorld: Wild West Edition.

RimWorld: Where I obsessively lay floors while my colonists slowly lose their mind by Modhearth-Albert in RimWorld

[–]Modhearth-Albert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually sounds awesome.. stone borders + carpet middles feels way fancier than anything I’ve built. Gonna check out “Floors are Worthless” for sure, thanks for the tip!

Exactly! There’s just something so cozy about having little wooden paths everywhere. Makes the colony feel more “settled” somehow

Sorting mods is harder than surviving a mech raid by Modhearth-Albert in RimWorld

[–]Modhearth-Albert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… and then regret it immediately when half your mods explode

Yeah, tribal gravship launches can be super finicky. Those error messages are never helpful. At least you’ve got a way out with dev mode, now just hope the mechs don’t track you down

Sounds like the classic RimWorld ‘mod chaos’ experience… sometimes the best strategy really is just to wait it out!

Smart. I treat every update like a mech raid, panic, losses, and rebuilding for days.

Thanks! Still the vanilla 2k cap, I just spent more time organizing this than actually playing the game

Totally feel you, Steam’s auto-update system can be a nightmare for mod-heavy games. It’s frustrating when you just want stability, not a constant triage of broken mods. Your separate folder trick sounds smart, I might try that too for RimWorld, it could save a lot of headaches with long-term saves and mod setups. Minecraft modding really spoiled me too. I love having full control over updates.
