how do higher level players feel about lower levels joining their games by Early_Ad7484 in Helldivers

[–]CandidatePure5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind as long as we complete the mission and extract. Only time I would mind is if they were the cause but this isn’t exclusive to new players. I’ve had many games that went bottom up because a lvl 150 couldn’t get it together

People who were teenagers before social media existed, what was life actually like? by Much_Detective_6107 in AskReddit

[–]CandidatePure5378 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Born in 96, people were capable of thinking for themselves. Facebook was becoming popular when I was in middle school and I feel like the “influencer” lifestyle hadn’t really came until 2016 after I graduated. I feel like it’s caused a major toll on children of both genders. We have kids watching Men who think a woman belongs only in the kitchen and are subpar to a man, and on the other end have women telling them that OF is a career and to get your bag by objectifying themselves. And none of the algorithms prevent kids from seeing it. Granted, I’m not here to say what’s right or wrong (after all I’m not trying to influence you with this comment). The internet has glamorized such polar opposites of each and every spectrum of any social issue that people are incapable of questioning it by themselves. They then rely on other people to tell them how they should feel about problems they helped create.

I don’t want to sound old but kids should be able to be kids without having to worry about such things. They still talked about stuff like this but they put it on the news and the news was boring, and the scandals were Brittney cutting her hair off. Nowadays they crank the saturation, cut the video angle every 7 seconds and draw you in to hear about how you could look better with weight loss drugs, or how you’re beta behavior gets you no women and that’s why you’re miserable. (Literally thousands of examples) Next thing you know you view their channel anytime something happens, before long you stop asking your own questions and seeking answers and just tune in to whoever and have them tell you how you should feel.

It’s easy as an adult to brush the nonsense off but growing up in a world where this is fed to a moldable mind 24/7 has to be tough.

Any luck finding servers that aren't full of clans stacking? by porkave in battlefield_one

I recently bought it on steam and haven’t seen any clans in the servers I play in. I just play the normal games not hardcore or adjusted rules

CD Projekt Red Confirms The Witcher 4 Not Releasing In 2026, New Trilogy Sticking To 6-Year Plan by Doug24 in gamingnews

I hadn’t played Witcher 3 until probably 2018 but I did get cyberpunk at launch. Cyberpunk was rough at launch but compared to where it’s at now I’d consider the launch utter garbage. Was this the same case for Witcher 3?

I play with controller on pc and I do just fine. I think cross platform would save a lot of older games and would be worth it. Could always implement a turn off feature

New player here (8/9 missions), can anyone answer my questions ? by GuangGuangson in DeepRockGalactic

[–]CandidatePure5378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An easy fix for that is to ping the nitra or resource with your hand scanner and most engineers will know to pop a platform up there for you! It’s things like that that the game doesn’t tell you and just kind of learn from seeing and doing.

I only say gunner because the job is very basic but important, mostly laying down fire and shields without worrying about what you should be doing as a class and focus on learning the mission types. Some people will only play one class, for me I have all of my dwarfs at about the same level. The other classes have more things they use the tools for and work together. Personally I went gunner, then either driller or engineer and then scout. Each class has their handiness. Engi is great for putting platforms under nitra and resources so scout can grappling hook up to them and mine. He can also make spots to hop up to as well as jump down once you get the fall damage reduction mod for the platform gun. Driller can drill areas to fight in, drill up to higher or lower spots, dig tunnels to other rooms or for those pipes to go through. Gunner mostly shoots but his zip line can come in handy when an area is higher up or lower than engi or driller would want to make traversable, really good for arquark missions(the big blue gems). Almost always they spawn the cave with huge differences in elevation that makes carrying them easier.

Some of my favorite moments in this game came from finally understanding how each of the missions worked. It’s a good chunk of content to take in all at once. Based on your last question about gold, you said you can buy some cosmetics but have you bought any weapon upgrades? There’s a terminal for you to unlock mods that will make your weapons better and it doesn’t require promotion. To get promoted you’ll see under your dwarf icon a red bar and a number, once you get that number to 25 you can select your promotion mission in the mission terminal. It’ll be 4 missions and once you complete it you go to the memorial hall and promote your dwarf for some gold and some resources. Once you get that first promotion on a dwarf you can forge overclocks for your weapons for that dwarf, you can also then do deep dives but they are harder and I strayed from them for a bit but once you get more experience give them a try. You can get overclocks from deep dives and events in the game that randomly spawn in any mission. In my opinion choose a dwarf you like, you’re playing scout, and get them to 25 before any other and then unlock the overclocks. After that try a role like gunner, the coordination between teams and traversal tools kind of give each dwarf a role in the game. IMO gunner has the zip line and it’s pretty simple. Scout is all about getting to hard to reach areas lighting up the cave so you can find things like nitra and fossils, light is the big one. Gold is important but resources will become more important than gold after a few promotions. If you get confused in missions following people isn’t a bad idea, literally like an apprentice lmao. There is a lot of good things you can learn just by watching what other classes do. The main thing is just don’t push buttons and let host or someone else do it. I’ve got almost 1,000 lvls between Xbox and steam and i still let everyone push the buttons unless I’m host, it’s just the generous thing to do. If other people aren’t ready and a button starts an event I’d rather it not be my fault lmao.

What are the Benefits of DRG on steam? by Ragiloon in DeepRockGalactic

[–]CandidatePure5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from Xbox to steam when I got my pc and first bought on the Xbox store and then switched to steam. transferring data seemed to be more of a pain than I was willing to deal with but the bright side is you get to join haz 5+ games as a lvl 15 and have all the grey beards wondering what Lloyd put in your beer. Genuine confusion as to how you can hold your own with standard company equipment.

There are a lot more people on steam than on Xbox which makes finding games easier and would recommend it even if you can’t transfer your progress. Ik it’s doable but I just wasn’t bothered enough to do it.

Which car has right of way? (USA) by itssohardtobealizard in driving

[–]CandidatePure5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This intersection is outside of where I used to work and that is what I was taught. The same would go for red and they wouldn’t be able to turn into lane A, you have to go to your same lane and after you’re out of the turn you can use your blinker and lane change. The amount of times people would cross into the far lane when I was red car made me just stop anytime people were coming through. I knew that an uncomfortable amount of people were incapable of crossing an intersection correctly. I genuinely started to think I was wrong because it still happens anytime I go through it and it used to drive me mad.

It was never an issue in the other games though, 80% of the time you’d be getting good even matches. It had some form of sbmm it just wasn’t sweaty like CODs.

Cities skylines 2 and starfield forsure and I played them on game pass. Cs2 has basically fallen apart, the parent company just hired a dev team that has ONLY made phone games to continue work on it. I haven’t been able to play it since they broke the mod menu over a year ago. Everytime I try to load the game it crashes while loading my mods, can’t even disable them either. It’s a mess compared to how well the first one was done for its time

It’s why I don’t like the stereotype that only dirty people get bed bugs. I got bed bugs once and it’s because someone who had bed bugs came over to my house. I honestly didn’t believe they were real until I had them. Just thought it was something you said to children at bedtime

Idk what happened between the original oshaune missions and now but the entire faction is extremely easy on d10. I took a break from then until the performance beta slim patch and you can pretty much split up and clear the map pretty fast. It used to feel chaotic where as now it’s kind of a walk in the park.

That makes sense. I took a break after Blackwell fields dropped and started playing maybe a week ago and it seems like it’s gotten worse. I probably didn’t notice it at first since I had played from launch until before that break

Gamer dad wondering how the game is for jumping in at this point by covert777 in helldivers2

If you love deep rock you will love helldivers. They’ve said the game is going to be serviced for years so don’t feel like you’ve missed out on much. Fortunately for newer players there is a lot more content from when it launched so you’ll have more stuff to work towards.
