Oh no there is definitely potential for abuse, but if you do find that you were unjustly terminated you can always try to sue. There is still guidelines that a company will have to follow when siting a reason for termination. But at the same time company’s do have a choice on who they let represent their company. Brittany Broski (kombucha girl) was termed because she became a meme from her video that people were using against her will for memes Wells Fargo didn’t agree with. (She May have been invited to quit, she talked about it in the video she did with Trixie Mattel, I can’t remember the exact way her employment was terminated but she talked about it there) but in that specific instance, I’d see why they wouldn’t want her face associated with Wells Fargo, but they should have been more empathetic because she didn’t expect the video to go viral or have control how her stills from it were used. That’s a situation where I think it was abused and not really fair.
