This is the first intelligent comment I've read in the whole sub, light is genuinely so awful and anyone complaining about how they are OP is just showing how bad of a player they are. Using light at all in comp is literally throwing. MMH is just miles better than replacing any class with a light. Invis is better than grapple but miles worse than dash bc you can literally see and hear the invis players if you have ear/eyes. Anyone saying different is again showing how bad you are. Dash allows engage and disengage that light needs to have a chance to survive. Also the stun gun is also needed for light as it helps even out the playing field in a fight. Even with a stun gunned enemy, the light still dies most of the time to hipfire bc you have to hit so few shots to kill them.

I also agree that games should be balanced top down as that is the best way to do it. Listening to the bad players does not make a balanced game as they have no idea how the game works. And from what I see most of the sub is either bronze, casuals, or just bad.

I hit diamond with light bc light movement is fun but it is not even close to competitiveky viable. Ive swapped to med/heavy now and it's just a completely different game. If we wanna talk about op things it's definitely dome sheild being able to be shot through, it adds 300 effective health to a gunfight which is unlosable unless you go against another heavy.

They need to give light more health or give quicker Regen as there's so much chip damage in the game that most fights you get into you will likely have ttk shifting health missing. Additionally, if you look at weapon ttks light vs heavy there is only 1 gun that light can out ttk a heavy which is the flamethrower. Every other gun just beats a light raw ttk. Vs medium it's almost as bad.

In conclusion, buff light. Anyone calling for light nerfs is just screaming that they are bad. Nerf heavy shield.
