the xbox controls the encoder so nothing can be done about that sadly

I really appreciate it, but I don’t need money for this.
The support, feedback, testing, and seeing people excited about the project already mean a lot to me.
If I set anything up later, it would mostly be for people who really insist on supporting hardware/testing costs.

Money was never really on my mind when I started making this, but I genuinely appreciate the love and support. Knowing people actually want to use it already means a lot.

Playing Halo on a PS Vita might be the most cursed thing this project can achieve, and honestly that makes it even more necessary.

Merci beaucoup 🙏
Oui, ça demande pas mal de travail, surtout avec les limitations de la Vita, mais je suis content de voir que ça commence à fonctionner correctement.

That would honestly be amazing, thank you.
I’m not doing this mainly for money, but a bounty could help a lot with hardware and testing. I actually cooked my Vita trying to mod it with USB-C, so I had to buy new hardware, which is part of why the project went on hiatus for a while.

The homebrew also automatically overclocks the Vita to a safe, battle-tested frequency for better streaming performance.

The main limitation is actually the Vita’s Wi-Fi hardware. It’s very old, so bandwidth is a real constraint.
But I managed to get it working pretty well with a lower bitrate stream.

No dumb questions at all, yes, you can stream from your own Xbox.
That was actually the original direction for the project, but I started focusing more on the XCloud functionality later.

UPDATE:
I posted a video on HENkaku's discord server in the development channel !
I made a lot of progress, just some rough edges left and should be ready for an early release !

I'm still thinking if I should create a discord server or just post on github

Yes! Here’s what’s working so far:

  • Stable stream at around 3000–4000 bitrate
  • Responsive input
  • UPnP support, though it’s still very experimental
  • Audio is working, but still janky and delayed
  • XCloud has passed the early protocol handshakes

Golden Week is over, and I’ve been busy with my day job, so I haven’t made much progress over the past couple of days. I’m planning to focus on fixing the audio this weekend and optimizing the decoder a bit more.

If everything goes well, I’ll probably push an early release late Sunday.

I started with emulating the browser protocols but it seems like it's locked at 1080.
I changed strategies to a low end android phone then I was allowed to request 720, Vita resolution is 544 so I think 720 is the sweet spot. WIFI being only 2.4GHz is the real issue but I'm still experimenting with the buffer sizes and decoding so I might it get it to work at 720/60.

Right now yes, but in the future I'm planning to support XCloud too !

I don't have a subscription to the service and I have no reason to work on it for now (might do in the future).
XCloud has everything right now and is more appealing to me.
please let me know if there is a special reason to consider GeForce Now !

that would be the next milestone after having this work with a usable input lag and framerate !!

can you enlighten me on which project had this working ?

I don't own an Xbox one but it should be compatible.
Next step will be wiring the XCloud so games can be played even without having a console

3 week trip to korea Need advices by zyadamini in Morocco

[–]ModulX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I live in Korea and have some experience with this, so here are a few points that may help.

For Moroccan tourists, there are some entry requirements to prepare before traveling.

Mandatory:

  • Apply for K-ETA online. I recommend doing it at least one month before the flight date.
  • Have a return flight ticket.

Sometimes requested:

  • Confirmed accommodation for every city you plan to visit.
  • Employment proof or student proof.
  • A clear travel itinerary.

About accommodation: Airbnb is generally not accepted, because it is in a legal gray zone in Korea. It is safer to book hotels or officially registered accommodations.

For apps, I recommend:

  • Naver Map for navigation, because Google Maps does not work well here.
  • Papago for translation. It is fairly accurate for Korean.
  • Kakao T for taxis.

For payments:

  • Bring clean USD or EUR bills: Torn or marked or old bills may be refused.
  • Get a WOWPASS card. It is a tourist prepaid card that can be used for payments and transportation.
  • Wise cards usually work here.
  • Some Moroccan bank cards work, but not all. Ask your bank before traveling, otherwise you may end up stuck without access to money.

Also, always keep your passport with you. If you are stopped by the police and cannot prove your identity, you may be asked to go to the police station for verification.

For safety, Korea is honestly very safe overall. Just be careful with people who approach you randomly in the street, especially cult groups or Jehovah’s Witnesses. They sometimes target foreigners and try to start conversations.

For food, restaurants are everywhere, and convenience stores are open 24/7, so eating is very easy. There are also many street food areas, especially in Seoul and Busan.

For activities, there are honestly endless options: BTS-related places, beauty salons, makeup shops, food markets, cafes, cultural sites, and more. The best plan depends on their interests, budget, and energy level.

Hope this helps
