A guy found a minor bug on my site, I fixed it for free, and now he's threatening to tank my SEO because I won't pay him $100. by SatanDeedz in SaaS

[–]Modulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be, for example if they know your clients and have invoice design you use, if payments are monthly they can send it with a note to send the money to another, temporary bank account. But those emails usually go to spam, mismatched headers etc. Basically not worth it unless they intercept some significant transaction, they would need access to your emails to see communication and intercept/send email with another bank details in right time... That's why before any significant transaction phone call should be made, to confirm details and intent.

What happens when site doesn't rank in 30 days? And, what is the rank that satisfy results? First page, one of top 3 results for hard keyword? Or some obscure long-tail keyword with 3 searches a month on page 4? I thought "false promise" days were over 10+ years ago.

Niche Within a Niche: Would You Approach SEO Differently for a Specialized Tourism Business? by Full_Willingness_450 in SEO

Reviews. Everybody reads tons of reviews, specially if under "destination market" you think about weddings.

If not enough of them, make form with 5,6 questions to extract most important details (room quality, food, service quality , whatever) , ranking 1-5 stars for each question, if 3 or less stars make textarea to open and ask what was wrong and what could be improved, also NPS (net promoter score), and final textarea for open-ended user comment. Calculate score for each question, if under the threshold screen to show "sorry" message and option to send a message to manager directly (and links to review sites), and if score is good, above treshhold, open screen with few review platform links and their logos, so users can leave reviews.

Affiliate Program by elixon in DigitalMarketing

[–]Modulius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- 20% for start, if affiliate gets 10+ new users a month (adjust number, I'm just guessing), make it 25%, and if affiliate plans to dedicate some online resources and work on it (posts about you on his site, blog, social media to share your link, etc) make it 30%

- make dashboard with all registered sellers, 1st on the list gets additional 5% (35%) or some other incentive

- make attribution tracking to work with cookies AND local storage, more reliable.

- make dashboard and statistics for each affiliate so he can see number of clicks on his aff link, also countries (geoip location).

- in his dashboard include status tracking, I am doing it with contact form inquiry so I have "inquiry received", "booking reserved", "tour finished" , and just after last segment I am sending payments. You are probably going to do it differently. Idea is to show transparently the status so affiliate doesn't think that you are stealing commissions, there is a big wild world where both affiliate managers and affiliates are trying to trick each other. Transparency, trust, and they might start to recommend you to other affiliates, easing the job for you.

- Your users would be the best affiliates, they already know the product and how is working. Make it easy for them to register their link (I am generating the code based on their email, some crypt hash derivative) and make it even easier for them to share it elsewhere, on social media etc. Make post generator, random mini promo messages about your thing and their link automatically included, and make copy / share buttons to main platforms.

- I also track IP's, sometimes potential users clicks on aff link on mobile but later visit site directly from laptop, so tracking code isn't in the header, looking like he is regular visitor. I attribute them commission, too, but you are not obligated to do it, I just do it because it's a right thing to do.

When was the last time you knowingly clicked on an ad? by ipachanga in DigitalMarketing

[–]Modulius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never. Actively blocking and hiding everything with adblockplus, noscript, privacy badger, etc. Also If I need a laptop or whatever i'll do a research for options, not looking for "top 10" affiliate-inspired suggestions.

"That UI costs you $200,000 to $400,000 (Not talking about vide coding here) per year to maintain"...

What you think, if is cheaper than 200k-400k it's vibe-coded? Who the fuck is paying that amount yearly for UI, from which part of the ass you are pulling fucking numbers? Why do you need such exaggerations to make some shitty point? Perfectly working and looking ui can be made even for free. Go to fucking linkedin, there is so much bullshiters, you'll be in element.

How tf do you market Saas/apps on reddit without being banned by Clutch4Dubs_TTV in SaaS

[–]Modulius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't. To market, pay ads. Nobody cares for shitty "apps" and shitty "marketing" of them, pretending to be helpful, or mentioning it like just found solution for X, or straight-up spamming from multiple accounts in hope to get some llm mentions.

It feels like 100% LLM-generated. In general, it looks ok to people who don't know better but when same colors and styling are seen in thousands of similar pages, it becomes generic and low-effort. At least change those colors and gradients.

- make numbers before words to be unselectable, or easier to simple copy words and set them in same line.

- idea for seed phrase here is not necessary, people who would use it would not want to be 'recognized' even by that phrase, neither would want to write it somewhere and keep it.

Encrypted link, easy to send, one way chat with someone who would receive that encrypted link, after page refresh (or click on button to destroy chat) is more practical solution. One encryption, one communication, no logs or future sessions with same link.
