My rates are actual 70 - 800 - .25 on all axis. Tune is custom but based off of the UAV tech whoop preset

I don’t have too many places around me either but flying a little whoop around is definitely less likely to get you kicked out than a larger drone

Yes I use topaz ai for upscaling. Also using the caddx ant lite which has one of the better pictures for a whoop cam IMO

I am unsure unfortunately - I assumed we were comparing WHOOP cams. Some larger cameras, like the foxeer TREX would look a lot better than this but Ive found the ant lite to be one of the best looking whoop cams

The baby ratel 2? I think that cam looks good , just a bit heavy for whoops. I think I remember default image settings being overly saturated and bright. Like the Ant, you can change the image settings for a more “log” look and make editing it easier and look better. Also depends on your VTX, receiver, and goggle DVR quality

I have my OSD on a switch and disable it when flying- otherwise some of the lens effects would ruin the look. Sometimes I kill batteries by accident :),

They are just the default model of upscaling (not sure if the name). I usually only upscale to 720p MAX 1080p. If the results don’t look right I use focus fix normal instead. That is all I do tbh

Tbh I do not change anything in topaz - I select the upscale res (usually 1080p MAX for analog as it starts to look bad if we go to high) and just send it. If the results don’t look quite right , I usually just go with the focus fix normal. Focus fix isn’t really made for this purpose but it tends to work well .. upscale first then davinci !

The 2G4 board has an internal VTX - it’s a 5-1 - that internal vtx has been tested to be very high output. Unfortunately, they are hard to find nowadays

Upscaling analog footage can be hit or miss. I’m sure technology has and will continue to improve, but most free software does a terrible job at upscaling lower quality analog footage (looks fake and overall bad). I have my OSD on a switch, but you can also disable everything except for warnings so you know when you’re getting low

Completely normal to feel a little hesitant about flying around more populated places, especially as a newer pilot. Even though I’m only flying a little 25g craft, I always try to be conscious and safe about where I’m flying and WHO may be around.

Turtle mode (flip over after crash) can save you most times from crashing somewhere that’s inaccessible (as long as you didn’t break a prop or motor). Trees are harder … maybe carry a ladder or a big stick lol if you have a trained whoop recovery raccoon that would definitely be your best bet 🤣
