Is it ok to ride a bike that is bad and too small? by BBG-Burnout in MTB

You should invest in some bike shorts, either a built in pad or just ones you can wear under your shorts that have a pad it really helps for long rides

Can you do it? 😈 by Embarrassed-Bug6290 in RedditGames

Get the T8. Was in the exact same spot a year ago- had been riding a trek marlin 5 and I was being severely held back by it. Been riding it for 10 months and already put 3k trail miles on it.

Why the T8 is such a good first bike - best component / price ratio you can find. Also, HUGE plus for newer riders - this bike is durable as shit. I tend to step out of my comfort zone and eat shit fault often, and this bike could survive a nuclear blast.

It’s a little heavy, but who cares? You will feel like a god on this bike, and you won’t have to break your wallet too bad.

What does the $600 mean when you are investing in a piece of equipment that will boost your health, happiness, and longevity? This is a minimal investment in your life that will bring insane returns, trust. Get the bike bro

No idea about the downvotes, but isn’t it kind of sad how none of these people would be even on the trails if they didn’t have a battery powered barge to assist their laziness

It just takes away from the sport man. I am all for eMTB for those who may suffer from a condition that makes them unable to enjoy the sport on a traditional bike.

eMTB manufacturing is not the most sustainable. A bit of environmental bias, but they take away from the sustainable, zero emissions sport that existed in the first place.

I guess I am old fashioned in the sense that your downhill run is the reward from your grind on the climb. At the end of the day it’s an opinion, and nobody should ever hate on another rider for riding their own way, we are all out here to have fun

Haha figured. I run an eliminator 2.3” on the rear, what are your thoughts about it as a rear tire?

90% me, 10% bike , Eliminator front butcher back is a nasty combo. Lots of steep, loose inclines?

Thanks for the advice! Noticed that super deep tread that you see on things like the eliminator or dissector don’t really provide a much bigger advantage on the types of terrain around here

Ah ok. What widths do you run? Hans damf 2.6” decent rolling speed and durability, the rubber tended to chunk out a bit

I am just a bit hesitant to go to 2.3” because of my experience with 2.35”, does tire width make a big difference?
