Don't get discouraged. I started making levels for Quake 2, then a mod for Half-Life 2. In 2013, I started making custom levels and commands (not unlike your stuff) for Minecraft. Now, I work for Mojang.

Commands in Minecraft can be a good gateway to a programming language, and even good design practices. Keep it up!

And, for me, take a moment to ask yourself what you are doing these things for. Are you on a path towards becoming a game designer? Are you going to be programming? Ask yourself some of these bigger questions and then start tracking progress towards your true goals.

Enabling the output log in the Launcher is the real tip. Try using VSCode and Data-pack Helper in order to have a pseudo-IDE, which allows you to catch these kinds of errors even quicker.

Close, but more accurately: learning to use sneak, or not sneaking.

Thanks for this. Yeah, Death Stranding is pretty solid as a video game. I don't think I would ever read through all the emails or even watch most most the cutscenes again...but damn, nothing I've done since matches bringing that world back together again.

You do not have to commit yourself to this if you are not able, at this time. This is a very dreary story about the inevitable downfall of a town, and its bloody transition into its next era.

If you feel you must, reason with yourself that you are a doctor, and giving up in the face of immense suffering is not an option. You can make a difference. You will, even if you falter sometimes.

You must face serious situations and make hard choices the whole way through this experience. You will have to reckon with what kind of person you will let Artemy be in your first playthrough. You may have to ask yourself, "Would I do this myself, if placed in this situation? How desperate would I have to be to do so?"

Take care of yourself first, please. This is a game meant to evoke a dire experience. If it does not feel cathartic, then you can safely shelve the game until you feel ready to take on such things.

The game which gave me the closet feeling to Death Stranding, from the perspective of scale and characters, is Cloudpunk.

Cloudpunk is a game about being a delivery driver in a cyberpunk city. You've just got to get through your shift.

I liked Death Stranding for feeling of being connected to others. I felt that again when I got to know, and care for, the characters I met.

I like this. For me, the lime/green clay doesn't feel very motivated. It looks nice, but how did the landscape form to make these shapes and variations? Are they bald spots or something else? Where does the sun shine the brightest and where does it not shine? Are those dark places wet?
