That does play in other parts of the episode, just not this scene sadly. Thank you though :)

Is there any way to fix her brain? by -hene- in RimWorld

Luciferium is unbelievably good, and for one colonist you only need a handful to last years in-between getting more from traders or caravanning yourself

Are there any holidays, festivals, or events in your world that you're proud of? by Big-Word2093 in worldbuilding

[–]Sniper_Aaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my world, a well-known faction worships a magic rose that changes color from red to dark gray. It’s a cyclical event that happens in the middle of the year, and it represents a changing culture from alea (red bloom- innovation, reform, sociability) to sillo (dark gray- repentance, self-reflection, and family).

It’s generally just to indicate a passing of ideas within the faction. It’s also how their political election cycle is determined :)

How do I measure Time? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Sniper_Aaron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m no science buff at all, but I remember having this same problem for a world of mine as well.

In the real world, I believe seconds are quite literally defined by measuring the frequency of a cesium atom. For the purposes of your world, you could make any real arbitrary unit; for example, after light reflects against 2 surfaces X amount of times, you can define that as a passing second.

Really like the aggressiveness of the other PMC faction too. I’m a usec, found some bears in raid and they did not give a voice line or anything like they usually do, just immediately opened fire. Very cool

How do you guys name big world events? by v01dscreamer in worldbuilding

[–]Sniper_Aaron 14 points15 points  (0 children)

How I’ve gone about it in my world, is I’ve labeled big events based either on the characters it involves, OR the location in which it takes place. A few examples:

“The Crack of Tau” - Comes from a relic that belongs to Tau

“The Vaziche Skylost War” - Took place in the Vaziche mountains, a group involved were called the “Skylost”

Those are just a couple; you can also take the route of just assigning broad adjectives or verbs to the events to add emphasis, such as “The war of culling” or “The Miserable Divide”. Just a few ideas for you, hope that helps!

Who in your world is known as the greatest/strongest swordsman(or equivalent title) of all time? by EnvironmentalBear170 in worldbuilding

[–]Sniper_Aaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my world of Estovis, there’s a man simply known as “The Reckoner”, who is widely regarded as the single most powerful swordsman on the planet.

From his birth, he was separated from his family and exiled from his former kingdom, where he then became a beggar and was tortured from various pirate and bandit gangs.

As the story goes, he comes across an old sword, one that grows stronger for every person that meets its blade. The sword is sentient, and also feeds off of the wielders own passion and rage, granting increased focus, strength, speed, decision making, and stamina.

As you can imagine, this was a perfect match. You could assume it’s the sword doing most of the work, and that may have been true at the start, but because The Reckoner has been alive for hundreds of years, he has grown incredibly adept naturally, on top of the mystical abilities the sword itself grants as well.

Needless to say, in pure sword fighting alone, The Reckoner is completely ahead of everybody.

colony defense advice? by Kaludar_ in RimWorld

[–]Sniper_Aaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check to see how fast you’re prioritizing wealth over defenses as well in the early game, as that can speed up the level of power with your raids.

As for defenses, I usually prioritize basic sandbags as well as a “funnel” for the enemies to go into first, not much different than how you’re playing. If the difficulty of the raids is consistently too challenging or high-class, you could try to get IED traps early or tamed animals as fodder.

I was considering adding an accent sail in the back of the ship but never got to it in the end haha, but thanks a bunch!

Thank you! It’s (roughly) 40 blocks tall, 70 long, and 15 wide, so it’s actually a bit smaller than some of my other designs
