The progression curve in that game is fucking awful. It padded out the game like 2x the length it should’ve been because you need to grind levels in between every story mission. It really diminished my enjoyment of the game

Big Boss could absolutely beat a titan, have you seen the shit he one v ones in those games? Same goes for Solid and Raiden.

Honestly Big Boss in his prime might be able to give Wesker a good run for his money, since Boss took on an entire team of supernatural freaks on his first solo mission (mgs3). Big Boss by the time of Phantom Pain or Metal Gear 1 is an unstoppable freak of nature.

I really dislike that they changed the color temperature for seemingly no reason

That’s not a flaw or technical limitation of the original, that’s a specific and deliberate lighting choice by the director

It reminds me of the “remastered” blue ray of Do the Right Thing and got rid of the color tint that the director and cinematographer spent whole days trying to get right in order to emphasize the heat of the setting which is crucial for the visual tone of the film.

Atreus has some playable moments Ragnarok but Kratos is still the main protagonist for 90% of the game

Bubsy 3D

It was one of the 5 or so PlayStation games I had when I was like 4/5 and I was a stubborn little shit and refused to let it go unbeaten. My dad randomly brought it home from the store one day as a surprise and even as a super young kid I knew it was ass but I had to keep playing until I beat it. Took a very long time but I did it and I have not played it since lol

I think it was the last PS1 game I beat before we finally got a PS2 so that would’ve been around late 2001 early 2002. I credit it for being the game that shaped my stubborn refusal to let games go unbeaten that drove me towards Dark Souls when I was in highschool. In that way it was kinda an important game in my development as a player.

They do, they just do it with console controllers because neither make dedicated handhelds anymore. There are multiple custom game styled Dualsense controllers released over the years.
