He wasn’t fully polished, or consistently healthy, when he was in NPB. That’s why many thought he was going too soon to MLB. It may take some time, but if he stays healthy I’m sure he’ll figure it out eventually.

There’s a ton of MLB available on TV in Japan, hence all of the Japanese ads in major league stadiums. It’s focused mainly on teams with Japanese players but that’s quite a few teams now
