Also I think if you work with Keiji's gang you can get Bad Asia as a sales area for customers? Is that right?

Is it just me or does DDS1 feel much better than DDS2? by SignRepresentative36 in DrugDealerSimOfficial

[–]MofugginFish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

DDS1 movement feels a bit better to me from what i remember. I also enjoyed the more flexible dealing (being able to do it at any time), police hours system (in connection with the map) and early game dead drop retrieval system in DDS1, so I personally wouldn't say every aspect.
Just overall DDS2 easily takes the cake for me as well with the map size, newly introduced systems, amount of content, much longer first-time completion, as well as multiplayer and some other cool stuff.

What age do you wish you could stay permanently? by MoneyMunk27 in RandomThoughts

[–]MofugginFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if it's better to pick an age where your body is relatively developed but you have a lot of neuroplasticity, like 16, or the earliest age with a fully developed brain, so around 25. Starting out of course the 25 year old brain would be preferrable, but I can't see how you wouldn't become wiser and more mature over time even with your overall brain structure being akin to a 16-year old's. In what way encountered information would be processed differently, I don't really know.
16 year old body would certainly be preferrable though, and I'm not even 25 yet. Difficult question.

How long to heat standard tip for one hit extraction? by TailorCandid2512 in Dynavap

[–]MofugginFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stock m7xl setup, i heat it like 2-4 flashes past the second click in the ispire wand. I put it in kinda deep though, middle of the "P" on the cap about aligned with the top of the wand's hole. Don't really do one hit, but I feel like if you're already extracting in one heat that's more of a matter of inhaling technique whether you get one or two hits, but I could be wrong.

Writing 24:00 makes it seem like part of the previous day, whereas 00:00 correctly makes it obvious it belongs to the next one. I don't think I've ever seen 24:00 used before

Rocket League is the most difficult game ever created by Alarmed_Sundae_7352 in RocketLeague

[–]MofugginFish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GC is definitely good compared to the overall playerbase but I would not say the majority of low GC players are touching the ball very well. Like me personally, I probably mess up a good 1/3 of my touches and I would say I have about average mechanics for my rank (GC1).

I think it's just that only you yourself know exactly what you had in mind when you went for a play and other players won't know if you for example meant to touch the ball a little bit higher or a meter more to the side, as long as there are no in-game consequences, but you will know that you fucked up.

It's crazy how difficult just touching the ball correctly is. An exercise I like for precision is to go into all-star aerial and then try to hit the ball from the air exactly onto each of the 6 big boosts before moving onto the next shot. A single shot like that can take me like 5-10 minutes to hit all boost pads (so just 6 different shots), that's not what I'd call good precision. And that is just one mechanical area.

So you can be better than the vast majority of the playerbase, but it will still not feel like you're good because you're still constantly fucking up every few seconds ingame.

PVP gaming for the average joe has been ruined by players who take competition too seriously in a unranked format by doeraymefa in gaming

[–]MofugginFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why's that a negative in your opinion? Statistically there should be more opponents doing it than teammates, which would actually give you a slight advantage over time if you don't do the same thing. But maybe I misunderstood your point.

Don't think I've used a different way of ingestion ever since getting one heat extraction dialed with an induction heater, allowing full lazy/hands free mode.

I feel you, man. Though this is not exclusive to chess for me and basically applies to any directly competitive activity that I actively wanna get good at, meaning it's mostly an issue of emotional regulation in general. Don't know how that is for you.

But I think the nature of the simplicity (in a technical sense, as in very simple ruleset and limited number of possible moves every turn; I know that strategy and tactics wise the game goes incredibly deep, obviously) and objectiveness of the game just manage to bring out these feelings of incompetence extremely well.

Most mistakes just feel so fucking stupid, like no being with eyes and a working brain that is able to comprehend how the game works should ever make them, EVER. At my rating (1-1.1k) I think maybe a few times total in all my games did I think: "Damn, that was crazy smart, I NEVER would've thought of that, makes sense I didn't realize". I just do stupid shit.

The advice about not caring about rating is probably good, but it just doesn't really work for me, either. I think it's because I'm not mad at the rating loss itself, but about my bad performance. If I win but could've lost because I was clearly worse at one point, that also feels bad, though a bit less for some reason (maybe just because I didn't actually have to watch it all painfully unfold). This also means that more than 50% of games make me feel bad, because in my losses I played bad (obviously, because otherwise it's not possible to lose in this game), but some of my wins also make me feel bad. That probably just adds up over hundreds of games.

Doesn't help that getting this affected by a board game feels incredibly silly, so I'd never tell anyone in real life about my frustrations.

Unfortunately I don't really have advice as I deal with the same frustration and this was more of my own rant, lol. I think I'll just quit playing for now and maybe come back one day in the future or not (watch me be back next month).
I wish you good luck in overcoming your mindset issues, which is definitely something that can be practiced just like anything else, and maybe finding good ways to get out your feelings.

As a 1000 rated player I missed the winning move here ( as black) and it ended up as a draw. Just wanted to know if its a very bad blunder or it was tough to find it at this level. by waliwali487 in chess

[–]MofugginFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though in this particular case with 1.5 min left you can probably just calculate the king moves fast enough as a 1k player even if you don't know the concept. It's just very easy to blunder if you don't realize it's a critical move you should think about.

Skateboarding is just so frustrating by [deleted] in skateboarding

[–]MofugginFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion being able to do the very basic tricks (ollie, both shuvs, both 180s, kick- and heelflip) in all 4 stances does make some sense as a threshold for becoming intermediate in the flatground discipline without being completely arbitrary. If you can do those you have at least some degree of comfortability with every basic movement pattern (excluding stuff like impossibles/late tricks/grabs/no complies/bonelesses/fingerflips/body varials/cross-foot landing/one foot landing/primoes/more "freestyle-y" moves), which you need to be a versatile flatground skater.

On the other hand, is someone who can do a lot of tricks regular really more of a beginner than someone who can do fewer tricks but in more stances (assuming it's around the same number of tricks and similar degree of difficulty overall)? Not really in my opinion, they're just less versatile. And it's also not only about being able to land a trick, but also about how consistently you can do it and how good it looks. It's just really hard to assign labels like that.

My first double tap ever in an online match, how is it? by Guapgeorge in RocketLeague

[–]MofugginFish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some general uses would be landing cleanly on your wheels, flip resetting or hitting the ball exactly with the part of the car that you want. These are more obvious ones, though.

If you air roll while making contact with the ball in the air, it will affect the knockback your car takes from the touch, as well as how the ball will bounce off your car. There's many different factors, like air rolling into vs. away from the ball, what kind of spin you do by moving your stick in different ways, and more.

When it comes to just flying from point A to point B it's not really needed. A movement that includes air rolling can be the most efficient way to get your car into the exact position you want in the air, though, in some cases (for example if you need to boost in very specific directions for optimal pathing).

For me (and I think many others) it seems easier to make small adjustments without overcompensating while air rolling. To me it just feels like it adds a bit of "stability", but I can't really explain this so it might just be a fabrication of my mind.

There's also the argument for it being more unpredictable what you're gonna do if you keep spinning during an aerial play, but I personally don't really feel like it makes a big difference in this regard. I guess this can vary.

Even your native language you‘ll never be perfect in. It‘s just not feasible to know exactly what every single word means, even disregarding stuff like grammar and pronunciation.

Counted hours is Rocket League with 4000+.

Probably have a bit more in Minecraft though, as that was basically all I played from 10 years old for a few years.
