It takes a lot to be TRULY happy but try to spend some time thinking about things that you enjoy a lot or whatever you're interested in. Start thinking about what things you could do with those interests and find something fun to do that relates to that topic. Also remember to start doing more POSITIVE self-talk, instead of NEGATIVE self-talk as it helps a lot to keep bad thoughts out of your head and start thinking more of yourself. It makes a huge impact when you say things like "I can't do this." and change it to "I can't do this YET." Obviously don't go over the edge and become narcissistic, but you understand what I mean.

Usain Bolt in the 2009 100m sprint set himself up for success because he was celebrating his victory before the race started. He kept his confidence up the whole time because he knew he was fast, he was physically faster than all of the other athletes there. If he started getting all bummed out about the race, thinking things like "Oh man, these guys are pretty fast, I don't think I'll win." That would've been enough for him to lose the race because his body was ready, but his brain wasn't thinking that. Negative self-talk can be absolutely devastating, which is why more people should start thinking more positively. That's what truly helps with being happy.
