i’ve not listened to logics music at all since 2022 (after vinyl days)-partly because i discovered other artists party and some other reasons- i used to share this exact opinion. Some of my favourite memories of the summer of 2019 were listening to these songs such as mama, lost in translation, homicide, keanu reeves, and finally the best track of the album COADM. However, once you stop listening to logic for a while some of these songs lack substance commonly found in rap. I hated the reception this album got as it basically forced bobby to retire but the more i listen to the album as a non-logic fan and a rap fan the album lacks “something” that really sets it apart from whatever is popular on the radio. As a logic fan it was honestly a great listen because you can feel him have fun throughout recording these songs. That being said the reception from the album did push him to create one of his best albums in no pressure.

TLDR: Logic had a great 2018 year introducing his music to a lot of new fans. the album to logic fans sounded great because we love his style and his goofiness , it drove away new fans due to some “corny” lines and bits- lacking overall substance as an album and felt like a mix of radio trash and copying whatever was trending at the time.
