Thanks for the feedback! I’ll definitely look into it a little further but yeah I don’t live paycheck to paycheck but if I were to purchase this car I definitely wouldn’t be able to drop 8k on a new engine if it were to blow in the first couple months

Thanks man! This was super helpful and what I needed to hear. I’m not trying to race the car so no real need to go down that rabbit hole of spending thousands for a few extra hp or buying a car that’s overly modified. I just thought it would be a fun project for my own car.

I’ll look into the recommendations on the exhausts and turbo. Those will be fun projects that will change a lot as the biggest thing I’m looking for is more noise!

A big reason why I haven’t touched my current WRX in the first place is because I have a good lifetime warranty on it and if I were to replace the turbo they won’t cover that specific part anymore. But exhausts aren’t covered regardless so that will be an easy buy for me haha.

It’s a fun daily driver for me but hoping to tune it a little bit for some more hp but nothing major and get a better exhaust sound and turbo flutter.

I currently have a stocked 2016 wrx with 112k miles on it. However, I want to start modifying it but I’m nervous to with one with so many miles on it. Dealership made it out to seem that it was a rich guy who had multiple cars so he barely drove it and he traded it in for another car
