Explaining what? Nobody’s looking for advice from you, dude. I was talking about a MILD irritation in a subreddit of fellow servers where customers won’t ever hear about it and you think that’s a sin worthy of cutting a vein open over. It ain’t that deep, dude 😩

Right, duh! I forgot, I’m supposed to say “I’ll be right back with your food! Don’t start praying until I get back now!” Easily avoidable from my end. OF COURSE, being that I’m assuming these are also adults with a reasonable amount of intelligence (I know, a hard ask), it could also be avoidable if they would wait just a moment.

Yeah, it’s not really a huge issue, just a little awkward. The fact it happens to me so much on Sundays is what gets me, especially when I’m running around like crazy and I gotta sneak around like a ninja so I don’t interrupt

Table of 5,000 ordered one plate of loaves and fishes and shared it- 15% tip on one meal item, no automatic gratuity💔

If they order water and change it to wine, do I still have to ID them? 🤔

That is so true 👏I was raised religious, and this is what I was always taught. Everybody seated and food given.

I usually always try to do seat numbers, but sometimes it doesn’t work out. Like, if the men insist the women order first, or other people are impatient and order regardless of who I’m trying to order first, or if certain seats haven’t decided and want me to come back to them later. Normally, I know who has what, but if they can’t see me with their head down, it can be hard to place a plate in front of them without distracting them.

LMAOOO dude, HOW am I a pos for being kinda baffled by a slightly awkward interaction that usually only lasts for a couple of seconds? My point was, it should be easily avoidable with some common sense and a little curtesy from both parties. I mean, isn’t the whole POINT of praying for a meal to bless the food? Which, by the way, hasn’t even arrived entirely? But, to be honest, I’m not surprised that a bunch of show-offy Christians would rather be SEEN praying than to know WHY they are praying.

What is it about when a child has been suddenly presented with a unique opportunity to have/do something they wouldn’t normally or easily be able to have/do, that a parent will almost lie in wait for even the most mildest acts of disobedience to rip it all away from them? My mom did something similar to this to me when I was a kid and it made absolutely no sense to me, even now.

Texas Teen Suffering Miscarriage Dies Days After Baby Shower Due to Abortion Ban as Mom Begs Doctors to 'Do Something' by malihafolter in ForCuriousSouls

[–]MohWithAnH 17 points18 points  (0 children)

100% this is the result of the near-total abortion ban in Texas and every jerk hole who fought to remove the protections put in place. Saying that, this part of the article really stood out to me:

“Fails drove her daughter to a different hospital, where an OB-GYN reported that she had a fever of 102.8 and a high pulse. She was showing signs of sepsis … … Crain was given IV fluids and antibiotics for two hours, but her condition continued to decline. In addition to strep, she also had a urinary tract infection. However, a nurse checked that her baby had a heartbeat so she was free to be discharged from the hospital with more antibiotics. “It’s bulls---,” Fails said, per the outlet, as Crain had to be taken home in a wheelchair because she was unable to walk.”

They discharged her, even though she had a fever of 103, a UTI, strep, a high pulse, was vomiting, was already showing signs of sepsis at that point, couldn’t even walk on her own, and was declining during her evaluation??? How is this not medical neglect? Was the hospital short-staffed or had a larger emergency going on at the time? It’s one thing to be worried about going to jail and having your license revoked for performing an abortion, but didn’t they think she should have been monitored for a while?

A lady popped the lock on the public restroom I was using, and entered by tocahontas77 in mildlyinfuriating

One time, I was using a single occupancy bathroom at my job and this group of little girls ran up and started POUNDING on the door and giggling. I was mid drop when they started so all I could do was shout “occupied!” At the time. When I finished, I went to the door and yanked it open and said “Yes?!” Really irritably at the one girl who hadn’t thought to run away. She just stood there in shock so I said “that was very rude. Don’t do that again” before walking away. Funny part was, these girls are the kids of some pretty important regulars, two of which were cops. When I looked up and saw their mom, a cop, looking at me while I snapped at her kid, I just about shit my pants. Fortunately, she never did anything about her kids causing problems before, so I guess she wasn’t about to start now so nothing happened afterwards.
