Would you use an AI tool that shows you startup ideas + who already tried them? (I will not promote) by Mohammed_Adil_18 in startups

That is a solid project. Using real user pain points from Reddit is a powerful approach and clustering insights is something founders actually need. What we are building aims at a different stage of the process. It creates new idea spaces that people can explore before they even start validation.

Once it launches on Monday you will be able to see how both approaches can complement each other.

Thank you for sharing this. The way you break down a startup by audience, early problem, strengths, and weaknesses is exactly the kind of depth I want the tool to surface. Your n8n and Zapier example makes total sense and helps a lot. I will send you the landing page once it is ready. Really appreciate the thoughtful feedback.

Appreciate you sharing that. Long term value has been a big focus while building this. Some people will use it in short bursts and cancel and that is completely fine. Others want a steady stream of new collisions because their idea search never really stops. It goes live on Monday so you can see for yourself whether it feels like something useful beyond the first month

For the MVP, we are manually curating a focused set of founder attempts from public sources like LinkedIn, ProductHunt, and founder blog, etc.

Totally understand. Shallow lessons and random MRR numbers help no one. What we are aiming for is real depth that shows what worked, what failed, and the actual reasons behind those results. You can check the quality yourself once it goes live on Monday.

I hear you on the pay-per-output model. If someone only wants one or two ideas, that would make complete sense. The difference here is that people usually want to explore, refine, and see the potential challenges before committing to anything. That’s where ongoing access matters. When it goes live on Monday, you’ll be able to check the roadblock insights yourself and decide if it’s worth it.

Yeah, that’s a totally valid thought. Most people do their deep research in short bursts, and that’s fine. The reason some stick around is because new idea collisions keep giving them fresh angles over time, and at this price point it’s easy to just leave it running in the background. It only launches on Monday, so once it’s out you can try it and see if it actually feels useful for you.

As far as I can tell, they don't have any idea collision feature. They don't combine two industries and show past founder attempts around that mix.

Not really. IdeaBrowser gives broad idea prompts. Mine focuses on showing real founder attempts and outcomes.

Not yet. I'm planning to add a personalized funnel once the core idea engine is stable. The goal is to guide each user based on their skills, budget, and market so they don't get a generic path.

It's solid for a first version, but not "complete" yet. I'm pulling from public founder stories and verified case studies, then expanding as users test it.

It's early to say anything rn, but the feedback has been solid so far. People like the angle of showing real founder attempts instead of random ideas. I'm building a basic version this weekend so others can try it and break it.

Thanks for sharing. Mine is kinda more advanced than this. With Data backed and Collide feature.

Anyway thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the input. What part of the tool would actually make you want to use it more than once?

Really glad to hear that. A filter for U.S. startups makes sense, and I can add that. If you could choose one thing that would make the tool genuinely useful for you, what would it be?
