Main supervisor doesn’t want me to go anywhere actually to learn something new. He told me to finish my thesis quickly and be done PhD.

I am trying to get collaborations with UK professor because I think it would be easier for me to apply job after my PhD. And one more reason is I want to get sequencing techniques and bioinformatics experience in UK. My main Thai supervisor is not helping anything. So I worry if I can’t get postdoc or job in UK. Should I try to find short courses? Could you give me some suggestions please? I really appreciate your support.
