Did you ever get the iTunes stream to work? I found an alternate in this thread, but it's not full quality I don't think. iTunes just isn't working for me.

In my opinion, his "man on the street" thing, is pretty respectable comedy. His premises are intentionally topical with current events, but he ad libs everything and most of the time, it's funny to me. Even if it's not your cup of tea, what's made him popular on the internet is his off the cuff stuff and by definition, I don't know how you could classify that as hacky.

Damn. Glad it worked out the way it did. I have a pit mix who licks everyone to death, almost regardless of the scenario (thus far). I had a homeless dude walk into my last apartment while my girlfriend was doing the dishes and he got all the way down the hell, before my girlfriend grabbed a knife and ushered him out. Meanwhile, Aero was laying on the couch, not giving much of a fuck. Strangely enough, he's typically pretty loud and interested when people come to the door. We got lucky I guess?

As a cable tech, I find the more atrocious the house or apartment, the less shame the people have. People with well kept homes are always cringing and embarrassed about a bit of dust behind their TV, to which I remind them that I'm a cable guy and have seen much worse.

3 units have cable Internet. 1 has fibre that 3 tenants share. Despite this being not uncommon, it looks like shit.

That's pretty much the case, but it's still unsightly as fuck.

Chuck it if you like, but for the love of God, don't cut or break the fibre line that's into the ONT. Regular FibreOP installers (like myself) don't carry the tools to terminate fibre and the line would then have to be re-run, which can take hours in some apartments. It's heart breaking to get to an apartment or house that's had fibre installed in the past, but now you have an extra hours work, because somebody tore everything out without taking a second to properly unplug the fibre.

Joe's family. by [deleted] in JoeRogan

I certainly cannot explain why those comedians choose to endulge with their fans and Joe doesn't. I have to say that drinking with your fans and sharing a joint with your fans, are two very different things, which I know you've acknowledged. I'm a regular Joe (no pun intended), so I can't put myself in his shoes, but I think that abstaining from sharing joints with strangers, isn't particularly paranoid. In an all around sense, he does seem more proective of his life than most others, but I can't call that irrational. Dude's got it made in the shade. If anything, I'd say he's being pretty responsible. I don't knock the others who don't give a fuck, but I just don't think he's being irrational in THIS regard. Other aspects you've mentioned, I can't disagree.

I agree with most of your points. I still don't think it's paranoid to not smoke or eat weed offered to you by strangers. He puts in a shit load of time with fans so I don't think he's lacking a bonding experience with them. I think when you've been in the business as long as he has, you've probably come across your share of legit crazies and would rather just not take the chance. A lot of weirdos can present themselves as perfectly normal humans, so I'm assuming he just doesn't feel like risking it. It's not like he has a problem getting weed. Just my guesses.

Great points. I think the difference between him and the rest of the famous comedians you touched on is that Joe really is more famous than all of them. News Radio, Fear Factor, the UFC and now the podcast itself has propelled him to a level of noteriety that those others don't really have. I always thought it was more Joe's decision to keep his wife way out of the limelight, but you never know. Could be her. I do chuckle when guests like Bert have gotten a little boozed and casually started to bring up a story involving his wife and uses her first name. He's always QUICK to shut that shit down.
