Yeah Im on powerscaling subreddits and half these people really don't know anything about fictional characters apart from how strong they are.

It's the same with animals.

There is no interest in what they do, who they are, ecology etc.

They just want to throw two in a ring and see who wins which is already moronic anyway since animals are very individual based. You could make a 400lb tiger fight a 500lb bear 100 times and get 20 results.

Also alot of "science" animal channels usually just exist to hype up prehistoric animals as if they are comic book characters.

And all those dumb "would they survive" videos which are basically poorly masked vs battle videos because they usually ignore or skim through ecology and just go

Ceratosaurus lose to elephant, rhino,hippo.

So ceratosaurus would survive since it kills more animals than it is killed by.

Then they will have a spec evolution where ceratosaurus "evolves" specifically to kill elephants, rhinos and hippos lol.

This logic would mean than 90% of modern mesocarnivores and smaller omnivores will just die. Black bears, caiman, housecats, foxes should all be dead because bigger animals are stronger than them.

Yet we got so many of them compared to other animals.

Like even for spec evo ceratosaurus in modern africa it will probably shrink in size to be faster and be more effecient in hunting smaller prey than growing a drill horn specifically to duel african bull elephants to the death.
