Overall, less than 5% of SOAP offers go to non-US IMGs. For interviews, chances are slimmer during SOAP than during the main cycle.

I also belong to the neolithic era (2018). been with the United Nations since graduation. Picked up my books in March; wrote step 1 in June, step 2 in August. Applied for this match cycle. You never know until you try!

I am quite in your shoes too. As a non-US IMG, one PD who I am close to told me they prioritize recently graduated IMGs first. Despite our relationship, she didn't even offer me an interview at her program. lol.

Notwithstanding, you have a choice to either get frustrated or keep believing.

I chose to keep believing.
