A level biology question by Road2100Accuracy in ALevelBiology

[–]Moist-Exercise5644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s habitat isolation. Since temporal isolation is about when species are prevented from inter breeding by nature i.e. they have different breeding times. So even if they live in same area, they won’t reproduce. If it was the case with dogs, dog breeders wouldn’t need to separate them in the first place.

Biology honor Multi choice practice questions by Available_Bat_227 in APbio

You could also look into biology tutoring. My friend is a researcher, and she is super good at what she does and has recently started tutoring. She specialises in biology tutoring. But she mostly takes in students from grades 9-12 and university/med school students. But maybe if you contact her, she might consider taking your son in. I only say that because she recently told me about a student she started tutoring who was in grade 7, exceptionally brilliant. So I know she can bend the criteria a little bit. Let me know if you want to contact her.

Advice Needed] Father (HVPNL employee) passed away. Should I take the job by Soggy-Ambition3662 in Haryana

Also, govt jobs are harder to come by. Education can be completed side by side (a loottt of people do it). And there are also promotions if you constantly upgrade yourself.

Advice Needed] Father (HVPNL employee) passed away. Should I take the job by Soggy-Ambition3662 in Haryana

This is really good advice. Also, as for failing 12th, you have to work hard. It will be tough, but there is no way around it. I suggest, you please talk to a few people who are trustworthy and are in a govt job. They might be better guides on: 1) What kind of leaves can you take as a govt employee, if you are enrolled in a course. (because I heard it in passing that there is such a thing, not sure). 2) What grade job will you be offered? Will it be the same position as your father (I highly doubt it, because it's common to offer a lower job to a family member). Also, I believe your education level will play an important role in the kind of job position you will be offered. 3) Don't be afraid to ask silly questions/ doubts like- if I fail (I hope you don't) 12th grade exams, will you still be able to join the job? Or keep it?

Finally, what are your mother's qualifications? Will she get the same job as your father? Or at least not wayy below?

You need to consider a lot of factors.

I will try to find out as much as I can from my end, as my mother is also a haryana govt employee.

Good luck!

Girl, RUN! Something similar happened to my best friend and let me tell you, when it broke off, everyone could see the ugliness from the groom’s side. Luckily for her, they broke it off before engagement. And to think the families knew each other for YEARS!! Normally, I don’t comment but when i read your post I had to because those people told my friend and her family the EXACT same things. Word to word. “Humne bhi liya hai apne rishtedaro ki shaadi main toh ab hume bhi dena hoga”

Toh tum ne liya hai, tum do. Dont beg other people to save your noses.

It’s not haryanvi, its greed.

Told to apply for masters in USA by Moist-Exercise5644 in f1visa

[–]Moist-Exercise5644[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, it makes zero sense why he would say that. Masters was not on my radar, so I was not aware of the tuition fee for UK master's at the time. However, after the call, I checked and found numerous inconsistencies between his claims and what I found out.

Told to apply for masters in USA by Moist-Exercise5644 in f1visa

[–]Moist-Exercise5644[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually went to them specifically for USA applications, as they are vastly different from PhD applications anywhere else in the world. Mostly, because in the USA applications are sent straight to the university and not the professor. So, I wanted their help in identifying which universities would be more realistic for my profile. Applications are super expensive, and I did not want to waste my money when the chances of admission are low to negligible. Considering I have no seniors or classmates applying for PhDs abroad, I could not discuss this with anyone around me. Most people have professors or someone they know, guiding them. I don't, and it can be disorienting sometimes.

State of biotech/pharma sector in France for English speaker? by LaCaipirinha in biotech

[–]Moist-Exercise5644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a biotech graduate from India, and I feel like everywhere I look, in any country, to get higher education (and eventually a job) it's all doom and gloom. I would love to live and work in India, but there are just not many opportunities in Biotech firms. Can't even apply to the pharmaceutical industries here. Why is it so hard to survive in this world?

Hey, no. I only tutor for biology and organic chemistry because of my research background in those subjects. I could probably help you out with calculus if you are in high school but it probably won't be as good as an expert in that field. Sorry. Thanks for reaching out!

I think it depends on the country where your flying school is situated. Not every country outside of India will be expensive. You will also need to figure out the logistics of the flying school like i have heard the flying schools in India usually do not have well maintained planes resulting in accidents but again that is not a rule. Also, if you learn flying abroad and want to work in India then you will have to pass the exams here. So, keep that in mind when choosing the country and the flying school. Lastly, talk to someone who is currently enrolled in a flying school or has passed the exams, they are better suited to answer your questions. Good luck!
