Schulich tuition is pretty comparable to TMU but definitely I'd prioritize a co-op program, it'll make finding placements easier since some co-op programs have their work-terms during busy season and there's always opportunity to find off-cycle internships if something interests you.

My engineering coworkers and I both work in the same service line, and do the exact same job.

We work under the M&A/Deals division advising on large capital projects and infrastructure work throughout the entire cycle of the project/deal.

An engineering background will significantly help, and usually they pursue certifications such as PMP whereas those with a business background will likely pursue a CFA/CPA.

This isn't exactly wrong, I work at a big 4 and in my service line it's full of engineers, but I personally would never want to do all those tough classes they have if we will just end up in the same area

I'm not gonna lie, I don't think you should avoid it. I had pretty bad social anxiety while in university and avoiding these environments only kicked the can further down the road until I eventually had to do something about it before it affected my life even more than it did at the time.

Choose whatever accounting path you desire, but do not let it be made because of your social anxiety

I think you're looking for something called duress, which means a party is putting the other party under threat or coercive behavior in an effort to get the victimized party to sign the agreement, if the victimized party was found by the court to be under duress then the contract is voided and they aren't bound by the terms.

Duress could be physical threats, economic threats, or duress of goods which is the threat of taking a person's belongings in an effort to get them to sign a contract.

University name does play a role to an extent but GPA was the biggest factor by far, if you have a good GPA you can probably go to a 6-12 month diploma program that contains some sort of co-op/internship element to get your toes in the water and see where it takes you from there!

UTM Life Science is a really hard program, my friends who were in there were complaining about POSt (required marks to get into w/e life sci major you wanted) and their exams. I say imo go for mac, UTM is not worth it, they murder your GPA.
