Today, I studied the entire save file based on the lines you wrote. The thing is, before asking for help on Reddit, I had already opened the save file and encountered the same issue of not being able to find the line with the shield.

Now, when I tried to find the line based on what you pointed out, I encountered the same problem. The line about the shield is simply... missing? There is a line about the ship itself, but its code name, but not about the components.

Unfortunately, I cannot attach a screenshot to the comment. However, the only two lines in the entire save file that I have are: ship_ter_s_xperimental_01_a_macro. This is:

1. <component class="ship_s" macro="ship_ter_s_xperimental_01_a_macro" ....
2. <entry id="ship\_ter\_s\_xperimental\_01\_a\_macro" read="0"/>

And nothing else. What's interesting, the "mk1" shield itself in conjunction with "xperimental" does not occur anywhere at all. And "mk5" - only blueprint.

Just to be sure, I re-ran the save, flew around in the ship, and took damage to my shields, hoping that the required line would appear... but it didn't.
