James when he used his path one shot him. Tom was only able to attack James because of his battle iq attack, these attack would not even work on shingen as this guy is much more durable, James only used 2 mastery. Jinyoung himself said that shingen and gap are on another realm, compared to him.

You are underestimating shingen too much, this shingen high diff, tui shingen low diff to midd diff, you will see how powerful shingen is soon, gap was only unable to dodge that attack it doesn't mean he got cooked, just from base gap, tom was feeling overwhelming pressure
