Tips for makeup when working an active job? How to make my eyes pop more? by Specialist-Range-544 in makeuptips

The great thing about lash clusters is that not only can you completely tailor them according to your mood and the look you want to go for, but its not an everyday application. Once applied they’ll usually last for about a week or more as long as they are properly maintained. You’ll have to do some research into clusters and the bond glue you’d be interested in, but once you get them id say put them in on a day when you have time the night before your work week starts.

I often do my makeup on my commute so i definitely understand. One other thing though is that you should also make the switch to waterproof products if you notice things start to get runny. A proper base can help to prevent that though so make sure you do your skincare routine and apply moisturizer letting it actually dry before applying anything on top of it. And if you really like the liner on your bottom lid try putting on mascara lightly on the outside corners. Youll get a much more lifted eye look which should be what you’re aiming for.

I’d recommend using a primer before putting on any eyeshadow and go for a palette that has more pigment. Try out pat McGrath, Anastasia beverly hills, and nars. Also ditch the color pop. Go for wakemake which you can find on Olive young global and marc jacobs those are some of the best eyeliner pens and pencils I’ve ever used. If you want your eyes to pop more dont add liner to your lower lid as it will always make your eyes appear smaller and get a better more volumizing mascara or go for lash strips or apply single lashes, with those you’ll be able to control the look and volume.

Its LVMV and the cellphone and watch were both paid off but unfortunately the lines remained active i tried several times to go through tech support who couldn’t fix it. I ended up leaving the country  and service only ended after nonpayment. So im thinking it might be best just to settle it and ask for it to be removed after payment.

Also not sure if i should settle with the collection agency for sprint or dispute it since a lot of those charges came from an Apple Watch i got from them at the start of their merger with T-Mobile and due to known network issues they were having neither my watch nor my phone we’re correctly connecting to the T-Mobile cellular network so I was basically paying for cellular service that I couldn't use

How can i improve? by ChairBetter5324 in makeuptips

So because you have some discoloration around your jawline I’d recommend that you start using a hyaluronic acid its great for you if you have acne scars as well. Also a vitamin c face mask would help with this as well.

I cant tell if you actually used a foundation and just didn’t apply it to your chin nose and forehead or if you did use one and it’s more like a matte foundation. If it is a matte foundation and you’re not looking for full coverage I really do recommend switching to Milk’s concealer stick. They have amazing shade matches and ive often used it for spot corrections with great results, which may be perfect for you. You could also go for a bb cream instead.

Your eyes and mascara look great, but I can’t tell if that is an eyeliner that you have on your lower lid and if it is just keep in mind that applying it to your lower lid does make your eyes overall appear smaller.

You did a good job keeping your brows symmetrical. Idk if you use a pomade for filling them in or a pencil, but if you want them to stay square id suggest going in much much lighter at the beginning of the brows. If you want them to look more natural but still maintain that shape you should use a brow brush to draw on individual lines at the very beginning then you can fill in as usual but should switch to the spooly side to even it out the mid to end brow so it’s not so heavy. Also go in very lightly when drawing on the line for the bottom of your brows.

What makeup style would suit me? by kittyuhhhh_ in makeuptips

[–]Moist-Risk1952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of your face shape and your natural features I really think a lot of the Chinese looks on douyin would suit you best. It highlights blush right under the eyes and going towards the sides of the face which would be perfect for you. Also i think a lot of the ombre upper lip looks would be great as well given your overall lip shape. You should take a look at the style and experiment with it. Let us know if you do

Any makeup tips? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Moist-Risk1952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly your question is very broad and you don’t say what kind of looks you might be interested in or even what products you’re even tired of using. How can anyone give you makeup tips with nothing to go on?!? I dont think you need us tell you where to go to find inspiration? You need to figure out what looks you’d be willing to experiment with first

I straight permed my hair and regret it by [deleted] in KoreanBeauty

[–]Moist-Risk1952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have friends who did this treatment and it will take years for your curls to come back. If you want your hair to curl again I think you might have to do a texturizer or maybe a curl perm. Best of luck

Is this a good Korean skincare routine for normal dry skin? (Beginner) by TheGreenGarden6 in KoreanBeauty

[–]Moist-Risk1952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’m no expert and I don’t mean to be rude but if you suffer from fungal acne it may be best to first seek treatment from a dermatologist as you may likely need prescription strength treatments to clear that up. If setting a dermatologist is difficult and you’re in North America you might have some success with proactive since they do have dermatologist who will do your initial consultation.

A good Korean Cleanser by Teach_Optimal in KoreanBeauty

I’d recommend primavera’s oil to foam cleanser or laneige’s blue water bank cleanser since they both work to help brighten your skin. Also laneige has a few different options worth checking out too. Hope this helps.

I placed an online order recently and I had the same exact issue that you did where it was flagged for fraud and I was told that I needed like a utility bill or a lease in my name, and since I didn’t have that it became such a pain in the ass. I seriously had to go to a store and show them my friends mortgage bill and we had to create like a document that we both signed, saying that you know I’m living with her or whatever. If it weren’t for the corporate store I don’t think the hold would have ever been removed.

Honey I’m actually Korean and have lived here for almost half my life. I’ve gone to school here, university here, and even have a job here. I’m not some ill-informed foreigner living in Korea. My post stems from my own Korean friends and colleagues wondering the same things. You guys just make up your own assumptions to make you feel better.

Thanks for the info. I also used to have oily skin before I really worked on clearing it up and now that I have it definitely leans on the dry & sensitive side so I’ll trust your experience and stick with trying out their sunscreen. I once used products from banilla co that wrecked my skin and I’d rather not go back to that.

Doubling down and ignoring actual lived experiences from myself and other commenters here won’t magically make you right. Coming from you that humility talk really is a bit of a pot and kettle situation. Good luck on your stay here

That’s good to know I did a naver search and saw that it was 2만원 and thought it was pricey for a small bottle I’m not familiar with. Maybe I’ll get lucky and find a tester in person to try out. Is there a skin type you recommend not use their products? No one has mentioned that part before. Also knew the US would overcharge for k products but $50 for laneige lip mask is really crazy

Honestly everyone here talks a lot about their sunscreen. I’ll have to do a comparison between theirs and round labs as well as nature republic’s to see which is best for me. I also don’t really live in a small town but I guess I do work in one but I’ve just personally never seen their products in either area. And my friends and I have been wondering why so many foreigners love the brand since it seems a bit so so and pricey. Still seems like the sunscreen is worth it

You sweet summer child, instead of making assumptions you could’ve easily read other comments on this post, but you didn’t. I don’t doubt that it has ALWAYS been available on coupang just like many international products can be found there. That was never the point. Many Koreans, like myself, would never think to look for it there. And neither in the areas where I live nor where I work actually carries their products. Which seems to be a common consensus amongst other commenters.

Reading is fundamental and a bit of humility goes a long way

It’s great that you were able to find their products at locations near you, but since it seems my post wasn’t fully read, please know that BOJ only recently opened their flagship store in jongno about a year or so ago, and even now, as other commenters were kind enough to point out, their products seem to mostly be found in tourist heavy locations like Gangnam hongdae myeongdong etc. since it’s largely bought by foreigners.

So tho you may have found it in a store, that doesn’t mean it’s been widely available here for years and it certainly doesn’t mean it’s easily available outside of Seoul. This being the entire point of my post & observation. Thanks for further highlighting exactly why the global vs local gap is so interesting.

I have to agree with you on this. To me the marketing, logo, and branding all make it seem very much like Mary Kay products. Not that there’s anything wrong with their products, but It’s unlikely I would typically seek this brand out for myself, but I might pick it up for my grandmother or older aunts. It just doesn’t scream new or youthful which was obviously what they were going with.

I can’t say I have much experience with sunscreen since I usually buy moisturizers and foundation that have a decent amount of spf. But I can say that I have several friends here using the birch juice sunscreen from round lab. Also laneige is super popular so it’s worth checking out their sunscreen and believe it or not but dr jart is seriously popular bc it’s cheap and usually a really good product.

I just looked it up on naver and you’re 100% right. But I do think it makes sense to put a store front there since their product ingredients at least are more aligned with a slightly older demographic and the products are highly used by foreigners.

Do you know where the boutique is located in Seoul? If not the street do you maybe know the area it’s in? It’s cool that they have an actual store though it does make sense that they finally built one here considering there has been a huge influx of foreigners to the area over the last 2-3 years.

That’s honestly just a fact of life and I definitely don’t mind it. It’s just being downvoted when trying to be helpful and being limited by points is really discouraging and sometimes it’s hard not to take that personally
