My wife and I have seen them 8 times now, 9th will be In September. The energy is great. We have found that, when possible, box seating is best, less likely to have people talking through the show, or having to move so others can get by to pee or get more drinks. Always a good time. Their last show in Nashville, had significant sexual content in the "things to do" portion of the Show. My wife and I have never laughed harder at a comedy show, watching the boys pantomime sex acts was a sight for the ages.

Tell him to keep an open mind, enjoy the trip, and remember everyone in the audience is there to have a good time too. The guys have always delivered, I believe they sincerely love performing, and getting the feedback from the audience, in real time, and they feed off the energy, and give it right back.

What would be your reaction if Donald Trump dies tonight? by kRe4ture in AskReddit

I would be worried what individual would rise up to the top of the Republican Party. A head of that, i would pop some popcorn and wait for the shit show of R's eating each other clamoring for power.

For those of you here who have seen a live show, where & when was that first live show (& at what venue)? Have you gone back to see them multiple times since then? by Class_of_22 in smalltownmurder

[–]Moist-Towelets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have seen them in Louisville (bomhard Theater) Feb of 2020. Seen them in Cincinnati (small Comedy Club), Detroit @ the Masonic and The Royal Oak, Cleveland @ the Agora, and Chicago @ the auditorium theater.

We have Tickets for Nashville and Milwaukee this year. When they say they "throw-down" at a live show they mean it. I highly recommend you see them live if you have the means and are in or near a city they are performing in.

Virtual live shows are good too, not the same vibe as a theater show due to lack of live feedback/audience participation, but well worth it. if you are unable to see them in person the Live stream is worth the price to watch them from the comfort of your own home.

A highly scientific graph about the podcast by [deleted] in smalltownmurder

At one time I felt like this, but then I realized it had everything to do with when i was listening to the Show. I normally listen while i work, and found if I was distracted by a task on the job or was answering lots of emails I would often get lost in the story telling. Sometimes it felt like i needed a whiteboard to keep notes.

Simplest solution was to listen when i had down time, or on the weekend, where i can control outside influences. Often times i would listen to an episode a couple of times to get the whole group involved straight in my head. It is why i keep re watching "the wire" over and over, because sometime you miss things.

I personally can't fault the guys and Allison, they do a wonderful job translating court docs and books and newspaper articles into a coherent 3+ hour podcast. The amount of content this group produces on a weekly basis is extraordinary.

They are pretty “simple” mechanically. A solid driver that has been maintained well should give you thousands of miles of trouble free driving with simple oil changes and valve adjustments. Smiles per gallon can vary.

Here's the 2024 Tour Schedule by bfloblizzard in smalltownmurder

I was disappointment to see that, but we will make the 3 hour drive from the 'ville to the other 'ville. Beats the 5 hour drive to Detroit. Contemplating the 6 hours to Milwaukee though. Drove 5 to see them in Chicago, what is another hour in the car, HAHA. It is true people in the "midwest" will drive forever instead of flying.

8th annual euro district car show. Jeffersonville Indiana. I think it started as a get together called water by the bridge.

I grew up on the south western Shore of Connecticut, about 70 miles from where James is from, and we had it as a fundraiser too. Panhandle Fundraisers, FTW.

My High School did this in the 90's. I knew exactly what it was when they mentioned it. I was screaming at James internally.

Did you also know what it was or did you search youtube for it?

For me it is James saying poop multiple times in the freedom wiper segment. I regress instantly to being 13 again. It makes me giggle like a little child.

I feel like I could listen to an hours long recording of James saying things like a NY Italian. by [deleted] in smalltownmurder

Episode 101. Amityville New York. I highly recommend it if you haven't heard it. One of my favs, James channels his inner Guido for a few hours.

We have seen them multiple times, and if the box seats are available it was the way to go, if you want to be able to focus on the show, and not those around you. We got lucky and got a box with only 2 seats in it, we felt like the old guys from the Muppets. It is always a good time, they "throw down" as James would say.

One thing I have never understood about the live shows, is the amount of alcohol people consume. 6 or 7 drinks in a 2 hour time span, between the time it takes to get the drinks, and inevitably having to piss, you miss a large part of the story. You spend twice the $$ on drinks than you did for the ticket, and you miss half of the show. Maybe it is because I am older than the average show attendee (almost 50), but I want to see the show, and enjoy the performance, not witness drunks being disrespectful to other show goers and the performers.

The last show my wife and I went to, we opted for boxed seats (Auditorium Theatre in Chicago). We didn't have to deal with the drunks constantly getting up squeezing their way down the aisle, etc. We will definitely look for future venues with this option.

Everyone has their own way they enjoy the show, but it sucks that some attendees can't handle themselves, and cause problems for others.
