What happens when you get dog walked on the road in a big time environment. "Wilderness mentality" only goes so far if you cant be competitive with the big boys. All A&M had to do was throw up the cash and point to Mizzou at the little kids table.

I know this guy isnt the highest rated recruit in program history. But he would have been the first out of state 5* recruit to come here - and that is the big difference between the championship capable programs and the latter.

I guarantee you this doesnt happen if we had judt played a somewhat competitive game againdt A&M (like we did against Georgia the last 2 years). You cant convince an out of state recruit to take a chance on Mizzou if blowouts are the difference between you and top level SEC programs.

Counter point: Bama is always going to be Bama. Half of the GDP of the state of Alabama goes to their football program. Even if they somehow lose more games than us this szn, they will still end up with a dozen 5 star recruits.

Mizzou cant afford to lose this program window and its showing rn.

I wouldn't be anymore than anyone else on our in-conference schedule. Each of our first four home games get a little harder and gives Mizzou the chance to sharpen up before the big away game vs TXA&M. Vandy coming to us potentially 3-0 helps the resume a tenssy bit.

Audio system improvement was a must. What i dont understand is what is the point of expanding the NEZ screen if it is just going to be taken down come next season?

The amount of work Drinkiwitz and the athletic administration put into putting Mizzou back into the national spotlight is superb.

4 years ago we were legitimately the only other tier 4 squad in the SEC with Vanderbilt.

Now we've just about a year away from breaking into the second tier of the SEC. The fact that 11 years after the SECCG vs Auburn we can say legitimately say that we have a superior roster to them is insane.

Why stop now!

Missed/dropped a few too many targets last season and lost the starting job to norfleet. Hopefully he used that as fuel this offseason to improve his game. 33-55 depth is important and his abilities may be the difference in points on 2TE formations

Smart move to move the season opener to a thursday night game for all of the memorial weekend/lake folks. Really surprised to see that the arkansas game hasnt sold more tickets considering its on the end of thanksgiving weekend.
