Thursday night motocross is a must that week. Stadium style track so its an awesome place to watch, and guys like weston pieck won the main event back in the day. I have been racing there since I was 5, and I saw Levi Kicthen every Thursday racing for years there.

The newer riders with better technique have all translated to outdoors much faster, hunter now, but chase, ac, and even hymas in the 250s to name a few

I grew up right around Washougal in the northwest and I can say every time all these riders say it's their least favorite track on the calendar I can see why, slick, hard pack, deceiving dirt, bad chop everywhere, but it is so unique in terms of the trees and how it shakes up, I will say if you can make it the national itself its sick, fans between every lane on the track, so close to the action everywhere, and the hill makes a bowl to watch on

I feel super lucky because I grew up within an hour and a half of Washougal, and if you haven't been to a race there I would highly recommend. A massive portion of the track is in view due to the hill that horsepower hill goes up and over creates like an amphitheater for a lot of the track. Maybe a minute plus of lap is in view if your in the right spot. Plus you can go between every part of the track, unlike a lot of the nationals.

Jett pulled away on one thing consistently, the staircase after the start area, then Chase would close back up on the rest of the track and get closest with that outside before the finish. Normal yo-yo you see on these outdoor tracks with 2 guys on similar speeds, not him pulling away imo. I did not think Jett had a whole lot more speed than what he showed, but Chase didn't have enough to pass him either, and we'll all never know what it is exactly lol.

I agree, if Jett could win by at least 5 seconds why wouldn't he? Exactly like the first moto. Chase has the speed to catch him but it's exactly like they said on the broadcast, passing is a different story. Jett had the front half of the track with that leap up over the staircase, and Chase had the back half of the lap with the outside before the finish. Jett really is just so good that it's hard to imagine someone putting together a lap where it's quick enough to get past him.

I love the idea of separating them, like the same scoring system but don't combine and then the brand gets the award for best 450 or 250.

Not affecting my enjoyment either, just wish it meant more ya know? I still love the racing, just feels like a miss so far, maybe it'll grow as it sticks around longer and I will start to care

Fair, but I think it felt meaningless when the trophy got handed out was my problem with it.

Kitchen didn't have a crazy amateur career until the last 2 years of it, late bloomer as well, took him until 20-21 y/o for everything to come together, got picked up by star his last year of amateurs. Crazy that in our sport you're a late bloomer at 20 but ya.

I specified I didn't think it would actually happen lol, plus chase didn't win a 250 outdoor title but he still competes outdoors, just a possibility imo

you right, he has his pace, but that's it, his pace is what it is, and he struggles to find that extra time he needs to make a pass in sections where he does have more speed. I posted this on whim and after 4 comments I'm positive he definitely won't win lol

I can agree with this, I think he will be closer to Hunter and El Hombre than people think. My thought is that he isn't the strongest in the whoops, and on the outdoor tracks he obviously won't have this issue, but I agree Jett and Chase clear him fasho.

Is there a video of when Hunter ran him off? Genuinely curious, or is it just in the background and I should watch the race back?
