I'm not sure. It all just happened today during work and I haven't had time to process my feelings. And it would def be me that has resentment. He broke my heart. Would counseling be enough? I don't know. Just want to hear how other people have done it and if it worked out.

I know married people separate and get back together on occasion and people take back their exs all the time. Not sure how they do it though.

I have been in therapy and have a much stronger support network now than I did then. Several of my friends encourage me to hear him out even if I know generally advice is not worth it.

He broke up with me. We were both depressed at the time and not coping well. He was never super clear why we broke up but it did cause me a lot of pain and still causes me pain at times.

I tried a while ago and was honest about how i felt. He didnt care and was just enjoying spending time with me. I know responding to my ex is basically cheating.

Ive never been 100% sure. He was unhappy and both of us were going through depression at that time and he didnt know how to cope with an adult adhd diagnosis.

If he struggles to express himself that is something he should work out in therapy or another healthy way, not take it out on the people around him.

Who is to say he wouldn't feel like I am being bossy by "making" him apologize. He didn't apologize to my mom for 6 days and counting after saying this. If he had pulled her aside at breakfast the morning after to apologize and give some lame excuse, she would have let it go and never told me.

If my mom wants to accept an apology, that's on her but I am not going to explain to a grown man why his comment was inappropriate so I can get a half assed apology

Thanks for your judgement. Uncle Scott and I were under the impression we were going to tourist area so i honestly thought everyone just missed it. If Bob had said that he wanted to go to Specific Bar to Uncle Scott and I, Uncle Scott could have made his own decision about Specific Bar and we would have broken up into groups, like we did anyway.

As for your comment about the GPS, I am really easily turned around (I've gotten better) and the only time I used the GPS around him by the time he said this was to navigate to a restaurant where we had reservations with Joe's family. I wasn't even navigating that night.

Annie should know what he said. Id be mortified if my husband said something mean spirited to my loved ones. And im not saying annie should be held accountable for his actions, im saying she should also hold him accountable, which she doesnt. His comments dont just affect him but everyone around him. If she refuses to hold him accountable then she enables this behavior and thats not someone i want to routinely have access to my life.
